I was married and divorced twice by 30 before realising the alternative is much better.

What works for some may not for others. I was lucky in having Sue deciding she wanted to be with me come what may. Others may never find someone compatible to live with so never get married.
Now women are less dependant on a man for support financial or otherwise, it is harder for a man to find a lady to get attached to.

Considering what one can see so often these days I wonder if itās even worth getting married. So many relationships break down. Far more than they did a couple of generations ago. Just because a couple get hitched in Church or a registry office the outcome is all too often the same. Letās just part company and go our own way. Of course you never really know a person until you live together.

It really doesnāt bother meā¦ Iām young free and single, if I met someone the discussion of wether or not to get married would surely follow, forget politics, the good old days etc itās about being comfortable together as a coupleā¦ getting hitched or living in sin, the latter sounds a little more inspiring

Iām currently married.
People are more choosey now, women receive online validation on Twitter et al from armies of random men. An average woman I know built-up 25000 mostly thirsty simp followers all telling her how gorgeous she is. Went to her head so much so she only wants a top 1% guy.
If you want to see this mass simping in action, open some Live Tik Tok vids of women just chit chatting. Lots of them get an avalanche of thirsty men validating them like Kaweeens

Well average looks like the rest of us, no shame in that. Personality-wise sheās fairly niche shall we say, a little self-absorbed.
It was an eye opener seeing the number of thirsty men she gets approaching her via DM. She said ānot one is anywhere near close to what I wantā.
Iāve read-up on how this mass online validation by men, causes some women to feel like queens and they raise the bar so high that they then canāt obtain the type of man they feel entitled to.
I saw another female buddy swiping on a dating app like this; ānah heās too short, nope too dad bod, fat, bald, bald, creepy, short, looks chav, oh no a skinny cyclist, looks dustyā and so-on, rapidly dismissing what could be decent partners based purely on looks.

Spitfire, you highlight a very pertinent issue known as Simping.
Male simping online has drastically altered dating expectations. Itās a huge subject discussed by millions of commenters all over SM.
Many have asked these simps why they think endlessly validating random women online is a positive contribution. These very same thirsty men inflating female egos are typically the most lonely and least likely to be selected for dates.
