The Banksy painting that self shredded in 2018 when originally sold for $1.4 million at a Sotheby’s auction resold for $25.4 million in Oct. 2021.

Some history. In 2018, a Banksy painting had just been auctioned for $1.4 million at a Sotheby’s auction in London when the painting started to shred itself. Banksy claimed credit for shredding it.

Fast forward to Oct. 2021 and that shredded painting resold for $25,4 million.

Banksy’s identity continues to be hidden despite others using his artwork for monetary gain. He can’t claim infringement unless he identifies himself.

I think Banksey could be female you know , but i do love him or her for their secrecy . I reckon she he live Bristol way maybe Portishead way where its very expensive and trendy to live.

I also bet he she gives a lot to charity quietly, just got this feeling.

Wonder if he or she will ever come out . I love it when new paintings are found in the streets
