My house insurance is up soon .
They have put the premiums up by £20 even though I have never claimed on it
I hate shopping around with lengthy tedious conversations with agents .
Should I just pay it ?
Just go to a comparison site like Confused.com @Muddy , just enter all the information and press go. No need for a conversation with anyone these days and yes, always compare for everything… 
My new quote is for only a £6 rise , I’ll have a look on the saving sites to see how comparable they are which I normally do.

No, definitely not until you’ve exhausted all the comparison sites, plus the insurance companies that are also present on the internet like LV or Aviva or Direct Line. The more research you do the better.

Just make sure you are getting the same cover you have now
I am with Sainsbury`s home contents insurance and they have increased my premium by just £5,95 in the last five years.
Always shop around though.
