Also without footage, if someone were to back into it…you wouldn’t be able to prove who did it.
Carol has never suggested that the geyser PARKS on her patch
Pauline? only reverses there, l assume in the morning and possiby
again in the evening?? Where is the problem ??
Donkeyman!
It would probably damage their car more than my garage door. I would hope they wouldn’t do it again.
I am quite well aware of, Carols parking problemI’m explaining my problems that I had to her.
What’s the problem…he is reversing into her drive, unnecessarily to wind her up…imo…and because he can…they have History…that’s the problem,
Plus, she nearly hit a car that reversed into her tiny bit of drive…when she opened her garage door…
From what you have said, he’s not the only one who is reversing into your drive…unless I read your posts wrong…
I hope you get peace of mind, when it’s installed ( bollard)…
Why unnecessarily? It seems an entirely reasonable thing to do and very unnecessary to get her tights in a twist over. An exceptional example of being a dog in a manger on her part.
If she is as silly and mean minded as to install a bollard as she is proposing then if I was the guy she’s got it in for there’d be a gob of Araldite Rapid thumbed into every external door lock I could access done either by me or more likely a mate in VERY short order.
That is the way, that you look at it…
As for what you would do, because of the way you think, you aren’t seeing it from Carols point of view…we aren’t her, so have no idea what she has encountered from ,in her words,” bully boy”
You would do what you believe to be right…by gobbing ,Araldite Rapid.( your words) Through their keyholes…I would rather go down the legal route…I am a great believer that you reap what you sew…” Eventually “…
Carol,is also taking the legal route, I believe, so is within her rights and won’t give into intimidation…that’s how I see it…
Why not fit a pair of gates where the drive joins the unadopted lane?
I’d like to add my two pennoth to this rather fascinating debate.
If you own your property and are having problems with a neighbour it could become a big problem for you if you want to sell and move on. This is because you HAVE to declare it on the pre-sale information questionnaire sheet that’s now required.
Not the keyholes of the “intruders” car Pauline. If I was the guy who reverses onto her bit of tarmac it’s what I would do to carol if faced by a bollard.
The damage has already been done there Percy.
Ok…that to me,TAT…would make it look like, you are upset with Carol, because she “ pi…d you off…even though she went down the legal route…
I pi…d my neighbour off, he trashed my garden,…personally I don’t understand that, because what I did was legal…so in a way he acted like a child…probably made him feel better,…trashing my garden, I could have retaliated…you know…tit for tat…but, I have only ever done that once in my life, I felt awful afterwards…even though I believe it was a small retaliation…plus it’s not In my true nature to behave in that manner…:-)…I lowered “myself “…to that level.
It’s like a mindset, you hurt me or make my life difficult…I will take my revenge…and hurt you more…that’s how i see it,:-)…enforcing your own nastiness onto others, in the wrong way…imo.
That just how I see it…TAT.
Yes that’s true enough Percy, and people should, but not everyone does, even tho’ it’s a legal requirement.
There’s a dreadful chap up on the next Close, and so far he’s seen off his neighbours on both sides of him because of his attitude and rudeness to them.
On one side, he’s now seen off 3 past owners, one of which involved police presence.
Both properties on resale were sold within a week of being advertised.
There’s no way any of the previous owners admitted problems with that neighbour.
It has a nice wide shape to turn in though along with a slight slope that’s appealing. If you put up a wall at the side and a gate like your son then that would be problem solved imo. Would also look nice. I’d envisage problems putting a bollard there. Plus you would have to unlock and heave it every time you come and go.
If you can still park your car on your drive Carol I think a pair of lockable gates across the drive would be the answer. You would then not need to put the car in your garage, especially if you kept a lock on the gates. Tell your neighbour you are using your garage for extra storage.
That’s outrageous. To what degree is a neighbor considered problematic enough to have to be declared? I can’t imagine that requirement would hold up in court.
If a neighbor is bad enough to cost you your ability to sell, isn’t there a legal remedy for that?
It is included in UK law.
Here’s a guide that might help you understand what goes on over here SM …
That is a most informative link, Pesta. Thank you for the trouble of locating and sharing it.
Good to know that the seller has legal remedies if the neighbor is unreasonable.
I agree with Woodstock >>>>>^ Groovy!
