Watching movie called Savages at the moment. Sex scene, wife is staring at the ceiling with this look on her face . Poor Hubby, can he get nothing right?
I must be getting old, I fast forward through the sex scenes in movies and on TV
Reminds me of this grannies reaction to “Saltburn”
Warning contains lots of strong language!
The son was egging her on. He was showing her total disrespect.
I often wonder how the older generation reacts to sex scenes. This is a great insight.
Was she watching one of our Over50’s Chat videos made by members I wonder?
I think I’d rather watch the sex scene that listen to her swearing, seems her every other word is F**k, what example is that to set to her children?
I’ve never seen a sex scene.I like the old movies when they couldn’t show that sort of thing but made up for it with flirty dialogue.
‘Just stop that and get on with the story!’ is my attitude these days.
I am with you, @Psmith . Innuendo was so much much better on the screen. Hitchcock knew how to do it right; North by Northwest, “Love on a Train:”
Leaving a little something to the imagination is always better!
Besides, these overt sex scenes have made it impossible to sit with one’s parents or kids in the same room.
No time for all that rubbish, just stick to watching Escape to the Cuntry
What a boring set of old farts you are…
No drugs, no Alcohol, no tobacco…Sex is the most natural and exciting thing you can do with your body, either with a partner…or not…You lot must be doing it wrong…
But why the need to share such a personal thing with all and sundry?
Shock, horror, I am a sexual being but I do not feel the need to shout it out for the world to hear and see.
I didn’t say I did it Bretrick…
But it does seem to be the elephant in the room…
Or are people not being honest?
It reminds me of a very old joke.
Husband and wife are having sex and he says to her…can`t you at least moan, she said the ceiling needs painting.
Maybe it’s Simulated sex they object to.
Sometimes not simulated so I hear. Anyway, we’ve all been there and done that …even if no T shirt to prove it (can’t remember where I left mine)…
I suppose experience tells film directors that watching others having sex will be an attraction. Maybe it is for some. Even if it used to be, it can lose any attraction it might have once had .when you see it in films so many times.
@OGF, while I would suggest that it’s better to be on the field than in the stands , gratuitous sex scenes, swearing, and over-the-top action are more about distracting viewers from a poorly-written plot and getting teenagers to part with their hard-earned money
To be fair, that person’s videos follows the same theme - where he winds his grandmother up and she is generally a willing participant (probably knowing that youngsters love seeing older people swear)
Thank you sincerely for the best laugh I have had all morning!
Cheers, Mart!
