Thanks mate. Lets hope the weather doesn’t spoil it.
I saw it!
Clear as anything. I was able to watch it for the full 6 minutes. It’s possible I have seen it before but passed it off as an aeroplane.
Some times it appears to zig-zag slightly but I’m sure that’s just an optical illusion.
Thanks everyone and thanks Dwebb for pointing it out.
I can go to bed happy.
Thank **** for that :-p
Now it will be easy to spot! It is an impressive sight though
So pleased you have seen it LD, it was a perfect night here in the SW wasn’t it
Washout night for me Blanket of cloud obscuring everything.
Drat! Am I too late now dongles?
So pleased for you though.
It is and I had also opened Barry’s link so I could see exactly where it was leading up to 11:35.
Lovely wasn’t it. It appeared quite close to the moon.
Will be back again tonight and tomorrow Mups. See post 17.
Am feeling quite deprived now - will have another look tonight!
Aha, lovely, I hadn’t seen that.
Thanks sweetie.
Mups tonight you have…
10:43pm for 6 minutes
00:19am for 6 minutes
The first one is at an angle of about 53 degress so about half way between the horizon and overhead, the second one is at 82 degrees so wil be almost directly overhead…
Just a reminder to see it Face South and it should cross from West to East, a steady bright white light…
Good Luck…
Fingers crossed Mups.
I might get lucky tonight as its a lovely day so far - clear sky
At the moment I watching the planes heading to Canada and America and wishfully dreaming
I’ll be out watching again tonight …I think I’m hooked on it now
The best time is in December when they have the Christmas lights on it
You can track them with
Yes I am a geek
That would be a sight to see!
They are the only ones that go over here and really high, all I see is the vapour trails
So different from living in Wimbledon where a plane went over every 30 seconds
Edited: Great minds and all that Dwebb.
