Seeing the International Space Station

Excellent the Christmas Lights :-p

No Moon here yet or it must be hidden behind houses…

Oh the snake oil £5 a bottle to you

Don’t tell me…I’ve got to finance the snake oil…:069:

I would like to make you aware 10% of all snake oil sales goes the the local orphanage in chipping sodbury

Aww well, in that case Cheque’s in the post Colin…

Did you know, that is one of the popular lies ever told… Of course I’m not married… That’s another one…And finally…Of course I’m wearing protection…

Good viewing tonight (Friday) at 8:38pm for about 3 minutes

very good one tomorrow (Saturday) at 7:47pm for about 5 minutes

Thanks for that Colin, I might miss tonight’s due to it’s clash with Coronation Street, but I will definitely be watching the heavens tomorrow…

Funny you should say that but I have a picture of Ena Sharlpes waiting for the September 1965 crossing of the ISS

Due in around 5 minutes!!!

Saw it tonight - and waved - but they did not wave back. Now I know why - they were all watching Corrie !

Oh Tabs, that made me giggle, because I do the same!
Gawd knows why, daft aint we.

That’s a great picture of Ena Sharples having a moment to reflect on life Colin.
I wonder what she would think of the world today with Mobile Phones, the Internet and Space Stations whizzing around the sky. Mankind has progressed more in the last hundred years than it has done over the last ten thousand…Can progress be sustained at such an increasing rate? I think not, but I can’t for the life of me think how it will end…But I will have shuffled off a long time before then…Hopefully!..

I did abandon Coronation Street in the end (it’s getting so predictable of late) and went and stood out in the cold under a clear dark blue sky. There is a lot of light pollution here, and I failed to catch sight of the ISS, I was probably too late. But I did catch sight of something moving about the same speed as the space station and very dim, moving in a roughly South to North Attitude. I don’t think it was a plane as I could not see a flashing light.

:044::044:

I love grim photos of the North like that  fantastic photo though

Tonight 7:46pm should be a good viewing up there for about 5 minutes, then a quickie at 9:22pm

Good 2 minute pass last night.

It looks good and clear tonight so should get a good view…

LS Lowry is a particular favourite…

There it goes…

Ha ha ha…Just about the same time you were touching up TS Lowry’s picture, I was outside watching it live Longdogs…
I saw the long edition at 7:46 and then I turned out for the encore at 9:23…It was while I was watching it, I realised that we’ve all been conned…

I realised that; just like the planets, the rest of the stars in the sky are not galaxies at all, but are just faraway lumps of rock being illuminated by our own sun…

Could be Foxy. I think we need to go and investigate. :-p

Hi

Missed it completely, so sad.
