Seeing the International Space Station

OK time to fess up about these lights :blush: what I said was not true :shock: it is only the second two weeks in December not the whole of December :cool:

:075:

:lol::lol:

I thought I saw Oleg having a crafty snout out of the bathroom window.

A great photo DW, they look a happy crowd :smiley:

Too cloudy and drizzly to see the last one tonight.
Never mind, I am just glad I saw it on other nights.

I didnā€™t see it tonight either but Iā€™m well pleased with all the viewings I have seen since DW started this thread :smiley:

There was a good programme on last night about the Space Shuttle. The Space shuttle triumph and tragedy on CH5. Part two is on next week.

I just had a look at times this morning and after tomorrow it will be missing until the 19th June at least.

And when it does come back I have no idea whether the sightings will be at night or in the morning.

The trouble with morning ones are it gets light early in summer so to see it you have to be up at sparrows fart :frowning:

Anyway, I will post the new times when they appear on the site.

:mrgreen:

Yes that made me titter too Longdogsā€¦:-D:-D:-D

And sometimes Iā€™m up early enough to take in the putrid smell of avian flatulenceā€¦:017:

No need for me to get up. :mrgreen:

After being a postman for a few years before I retired Longdogsā€¦Old habits die hard! Itā€™s taken me eight years to resist the urge to run down everybodyā€™s path as I jog past while out on a runā€¦:102:

:043::043:

I think this is why I get up early, 7 years of starting work (on the post) at 4.45 am, itā€™s a hard habit to break.

I watched that and although it was good there is something horrible about watching that launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger when it blew up at the moment they went full throttle, all the excitement and optimism before take off and then the horror, with the families of the astronauts watching onā€¦

And itā€™s the best time of day Nicolā€¦:wink:

Indeed, particularly with families watching and school children. Iā€™m guessing no one was ever held to account for what happened even though it was corporate manslaughter. They didnā€™t need to die that day.

Great shots of the shuttle in orbit though.

I was going to do a post explaining how to see the Iridium Flares but lucky I found this picture which explains it all! Happy Viewing!

Gosh DW, I didnā€™t realise it was easy as that to understand ā€¦ easy-peasy :mrgreen:
