Mags, that sounds similar to The Book Barn in Hallatrow, over 1 million books! Not far from Bristol. 
It’s fabulous, lots of books for £1 each and a lovely cafe.

Been there too about 10 years ago. It was the largest then and think it has to still be up there now.
