I scattered my brother’s ashes a bit over a week ago. Not a park or any popular public place but on some rugged land that was on one of our many off-road mountain bike ride routes. It was his wish.

That’s lovely, it’s good to scatter them somewhere that was special to them
The thing about the park that caused the problem is that it’s on top of the cliff, looking out to sea and it is a special place to lots of people, who like to sit up there, so I can understand why family want to scatter them there
It’s beautifully maintained with wildlife areas and flower beds so I also get that they can’t have everyone scattering ashes
It’s a tricky one
