I made a point to specifically watch Sarah last evening on Ch 4 TV as she was taking the viewers through her cancer on film all the way through from lumps found, diagnosis, treatment/operation and finally bi-lateral reconstruction implant surgery as the last procedure.
It was of particular interest because I lost my B-I-L Fredrik Larson to cancer after it was found in his lymphatic system; then later when his wife developed breast cancer and underwent surgery plus chemotherapy. She is still alive and thriving as she underwent the same type remedials as Sarah.
I thought Sarah held up well and so far has come through the ordeal remarkably well and it is my belief that this film should be shown to all women and the few men who develop this type of cancer if only to show that with the right treatment, hope remains.
Hope must always be clung to as I know first hand how scary the word cancer can be. I was sent to a specialist with a rouge looking brown patch on one ear that was successfully treated in hospital ands o far, 7yrs later, there has ben no occurrence on either ear.
For anyone interested, the documentary is still available via catch-up

I watched the programme having had a favourite cousin die of breast cancer a few years ago , a lovely lady. Sadly the treatment at the time wasn’t able to save her and it is amazing to see how the gene monitoring and treatment have progressed.
