Perhaps it wasn’t so deadly because so many here have either had exposure or are vaccinated?

It was deadly enough.
Having had two unvaccinated friends/colleagues in hospital over Christmas struggling to breathe, I would say that the vaccine effort has made far more difference than it is given credit for by some. The one colleague I spoke to today said that the whole family had changed their mind about the vaccine having seen her in hospital struggling to breathe and with the threat of a ventilator almost an option. She said it was the most frightening experience of her life and as soon as she is allowed to she will have the vaccine. She also said it is nothing like flu. It was far worse than anything she had experienced and this is someone in her 30s.
I’m not a big fan of the Spectator. They have a very pro-Catholic agenda and are likely against the vaccine from that angle.
What do you mean a pro Catholic agenda ?
