I hear the NHS are offering the elderly free jabs for RSV.
No not needed.
Now if they produced a non farting Jab that is something else, especially if it includes anti stink.
I’d suggest a cork … but thinking about it, it could be a tad uncomfortable.
Serious head on: ![]()
It’s a new one on me . Never heard of it before.
I have just received a text telling me that I’m eligible for the RSV jab due to my age - I was also invited to have one last year too, I didn’t have one then and I shan’t have one this year either.
I got my text today for the RSV jab, I’d not heard of it before, I’ll do some research about it, but won’t be having it anyway.
Okay, research done…Not on your nelly… ![]()
According to Wiki…

That’s exactly how far I got with my research.

No thanks.
I’ll have one if it stands for “Real Sausage Verification”!
If you want it do you have to RSVP?
The NHS doesn’t offer the RSV vaccination until you are at least 75 years old, so I’m too young to be offered it, which is probably why I had never heard of it until my 78 year old Sister told me she had just been to have the RSV jab last week.
My Sis is the fittest and “youngest” 78 year old person I know, in both mind and body,
She has always taken care of her health, exercises every day, eats healthily and takes all the recommended vaccines, so I wasn’t surprised to hear that she has taken up the offer of the RSV vaccine.
I have years to go before I’m eligible for an RSV vax, so I can wait and see how the folk who have been taking it since it was introduced in U.K. last year get on, then I can weigh up the pros and cons when I reach 75.
. . . no rush.
I’m surprised they provide any warnings with that vaccine. They usually don’t; all they talk about is what a miracle it is.
During the Covid vaccine push, they didn’t provide any warnings, but during their recent TV ads, they warned about cardiac issues.
But no…I’ve never had RSV, Covid, or Flu vaccines. I decided not to get Covid or Flu vaccines after seeing many vaccinated friends get Covid & Flu & some were hospitalized. Personally, I had the flu 42 years ago & never since, despite caring for friends & family with the flu. Maybe natural immunity is best.
I had Covid a couple of years ago. It was a 3-day chest cold & 4 more days of coughing - nothing I would get a vaccine for, especially a new, untested one. I’m 73 & diabetic 15 years; someone vaccines are heavily marketed to “to reduce risk.”
I also learned some interesting facts about Shingles - another condition they’re pushing vaccines for. After having Shingles twice, I was given some literature when I left the hospital. It said you can only get Shingles if you’ve had Chicken Pox previously because the same virus causes both. I’ve never had chicken Pox. Then I kept reading. It said “You can also get Shingles if you had the Measels vaccine which contains the Chicken Pox virus strain.”
How nice. I’ve learned something in the past few years. Just because the “Professionals” suggest something, it doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. Today, medicine has little to do with health; it’s all about money.
You’ve done 73 years win321, that’s good, whatever happens from here on in is a bonus, regardless as to to what you’ve had or what you ain’t. Imo
