Rock crabs feeding on Groyne at Mandurah

Another fascinating video, Bretwick! How do they hang on to a rock so firmly while eating? That must be a tremendous amount of pressure for their size, if you think about it. Can you imagine trying to eat your dinner, while being smacked in the face by a wave every few seconds? I suppose there are some advantages to having your skeleton on the outside, besides not getting wrinkles in old age :+1:!

I was surprised how they clung on and not washed away too.

It has always fascinated me how they are not swept away.
