Roberts poems (part 1)

They raise a smile for sure - Jem’s poems that is  .

I am thinking of dyeing my hair
While I’ve still got plenty there.
It has gone all white
Almost overnight
But do I really care.?

Do not despair, it’s only hair.
What’s wrong with it being white?
'twill look cheery and bright,
once it’s all there
why worry or care,
just keep it neat and tight.

You should not care
About your hair
You should be aware
About your Air
Lack of which
Will cause despair
Take a deep breath
And climb the stair.

I dyes my hair once a month on the first
Only takes a few mins and it don’t hurt
I just slaps a bit of ready made goo on my hair
And low and behold I take the away the glare
That can blind a person wot looks on a head
Of shocking white locks - could shock em dead!

In pursute
of hirsute
follicals
topical
wont dye
nor try
ageing fast
dye is cast
not

I liked that Robert, reading it reminded me of a train gathering steam

Hair today gone tomorrow :022:

You are so right…thankyou dearheart

Exactly.

Good to see a flurry of posts on LEISURE ACTIVITIES

Just because I’m silent
Don’t think I’ve nowt to say
Would you Adam & Eve it that I’ve lent
My brain out for the day.

I didn’t do it lightly and
Gave it loads of thought
It’s gone to one in Blighty
Until now he was self taught.

I didn’t think I’d miss it
For it’s grossly underused
But without it I’m a misfit
Now totally confused

It’s due back this very evening
I hope its not broke or torn
I guess I would be seething
Though better than lost & gorn.

Where are the missing ones talked about on here
A brief absence clears the mind, dispelling gloom & fear.

They will return to us in the fullness of time
I suspect they’ll offer nothing to any form of rhymes

Diversity is part of life’s rich tapestry
What suits others may not suit folks like me

so we wait & wait day after day
FOLKS please come back to play.

Do you want to offload
The cares you have today
Or do you often implode
Not giving them away

Worries give you ulcers
They grow and grow and grow
They hang around like vultures
Hoping you’ll explode

stay calm.

Well done RJ

This is my favourite poem…ever…

Could have been a bit ‘tighter’ for me …

Lilac, I am not familiar with the poem, but it is certainly worth reading.

Patsy, thanks for the encouragement , as always

Nice to see the poems coming back with a flurry, a few well thought out ones there RJ. wonder what happened to the other bards and minstrels, maybe they’ve gone “A wand’ring Minstrel I” La la la.

They sit around like vultures
Waiting for carrion crows
Any little bit of gossip
Will satisfy God knows

Throw us all your tittle tattle
It will help us through the night
Cos our dreams are dressed up nightmares
And our minds have lost their flight

Our lives have lost their meaning
And we don’t know where to go
So just throw us all your gossip
And become a carrion crow!
