Set in the sixties I had no idea there was a resurgence of facism and anti semitism in the U.K. so soon after WW11
I watched it…it was good. I wasn’t aware this went on in the sixties. A good drama so far and informative.

Thoroughly absorbing first episode. Good script, well acted. Can’t wait for the rest of them.
IMHO the lead actress is so good, she’s going to go places.

watched the first episode on i player. Very well staged in an authentic portrayal of 60s atmosphere and settings. They mix in actual footage to make it more real.
It’s amazing that this was a debut novel. Very difficult to find out much about the author in recent articles. But this article from 2015 gives some background to the story :
God, this series is a hard watch.
