Rhubarb Crisis

And there was me thinking people only made pig’s ears out of things :043:

I am beginning to doubt every word you say, LD, does trustworthiness mean nothing to you?

Only on paper. :-p

I kid you not LD  ‘pigs bum pudding’ really is delicious…
Cooked pink rhubarb is stirred through a sponge batter turning it pink hence the name .

It certainly is delicious - and so easy to make! Might have to do a raid on my neighbour’s rhubarb patch!

Rhubarb Rhubarb Hail Caesar

I have to ask ……… why is it called Pig’s bum pudding?

Yum…

Mags  if forced pink rhubarb is used it turns the sponge pink like a pigs bum …

……… and that’s the colour of a pig’s bum is it?

Being a townie, I can’t say I’ve noticed that!

Mags  when you cut into the pudding it is a nice soft pink …
Some breeds of pigs have pink bums other breeds don’t…

Mmmm…… sounds lovely Meg, I’ll try that.

More filth…

I think that pic answers your question.
