Remember the Alamo

an American call to arms is 'Remember The Alamo, quite a few Brits died in this engagement,
a monument will be laid at the battleground to commemorate four Scots who were among those who died for liberty and Texas. John McGregor, Richard W Ballantine, Isaac Robinson and David L Wilson all died at the hands of a 3,000-strong Mexican army.

whether this is true or not matters not, but it makes me smile
it is said that while only four Scots are named up to two dozen from Scots families were among the defenders, plus a good number of Irish, Welsh and English…
