I was released from Covid Jail today and it felt so good to be outside.
I was quite poorly with it but not floored, it made me feel exhausted like no other exhaustion before, I had a cough at the beginning and lost smell and taste and I just felt flu like.
Missed my Dad something shocking and he missed me but I saw him today and it was great
@LionQueen good to hear you are out of quarantine LQ, I hope you and your husband are improving from your accident injuries.
Take things easy won’t you, give yourself time to recover…x
That’s such good news @LionQueen, I bet you were chomping at the bit to get out and about, especially to see your Dad. Hope Mr LQ is recovering well, and the virus didn’t get too awful for him.
John didn’t suffer any symptoms because amazingly after the positive lateral flow test the PCR test was negative. While we were overjoyed that he didn’t have it (he was going through enough) neither of us can understand how he didn’t get it. This virus is a very strange one how it latches onto some and not others.
My great nephew caught it yet no others in the household caught it, thankfully!
Thank you Meg, don’t worry luckily my work have given me another week off work to give me time to recover properly so I am taking things very slowly. Yesterday, while I was glad to be able to go see my dad I was also glad to get in, I’m still very tired.
Yes, it is indeed a ‘funny’ virus - in the young family down the road from us (mum, dad, and three children) the two adults and two younger children have Covid but the 9 year old girl displays no symptoms and has tested negative. Thankfully, they too are not too severely affected.
LQ, Do you know what… l think you are a stronger person than you were 18 months, or so ago when Covid first broke out.
Do you remember being absolutely paranoid and scared at the thought of catching it?
Look at you now, you are a different person with regards to the Covid. You got it, you dealt with it and came through it.
I think you’ve been brilliant and l am pleased that you’re out of jail.
I hope John is getting better after his injuries.
