Reduce number of SUVs?

When the sun comes out here Bruce, many older balding men get their convertibles out, I don’t, I wait until I ain’t going to get cooked.

They all look the same to me.There was a MG and a Toyota next to it in our street and they didn’t look much different,In the olden days I could tell the make by it’s shape.

More birds are killed by structures then wind turbines. More birds are killed by vehicles then wind turbines. More birds are killed by cats then wind turbines. And, more birds are killed by power lines then wind turbines.

Again, remove the clean energy turbines, save the birds, get rid of vehicles, save the birds, get rid of cat and power lines too.:joy::joy::joy:

What a co-incidence! I was walking home from my coffee and cake this morning when I saw a small red open top, two seater car at the traffic lights, first one I have seen for a ages. No idea of the make.

There are quite a few people who live in the village who have a SUV to tow their caravan.
I don’t suppose they can afford to run two vehicles so it’s their everyday car as well.

Village. Caravan.
I think these are not the people driving massive SUVs around congested city streets. I think this example fits better with the Texas pro-SUV argument.

Only two states have more cars than SUVs. California and Hawaii who would if figured.

I am just guessing but would think bats and owls are hit hardest by windmills .

I never wear hats EXCEPT when gardening in pure sun and fishing which have not done in awhile because sun here does not take prisoners and skin cancer is rampant .

Windmills granted are not known for efficiency but windmills , solar , oil combined and now we are talking .

No need to omit any of them .

Well it is a poor South Yorkshire ex mining village, so I don’t expect the locals can afford big BMW’s, Audi’s, Range Rovers or Discoveries, and they are all probably over ten year old models Lincs…
However, it is a farming community, and it wouldn’t be right to see one of the young farmers in anything but a Mitsubishi L 200 or Ford Ranger…And they are all big lads…Perhaps you want to ask them to drive Ford Fiesta’s instead?

Perhaps you want to ask yourself to follow the points put across in this thread and notice that none of the criticism of people driving SUVs is aimed at people who need SUVs.

Here in London the SUVs are losing popularity, I read recently the fastest selling car is the Mini Cooper. And we are about to see higher parking charges for bigger cars (they do it in Paris).

I don’t understand these figures.
