Reduce number of SUVs?

,

Actually this is another interesting point. Many of the WAV cars I saw where adapted for wheelchair passenger - in the back - and not for wheelchair access and then driving.
I also noted from the couple of sites that I looked at that there were quite a few conversion businesses. My guess that some are better than others, both in terms of design and construction. This makes it a difficult market in which to make a confident good purchase.
Lastly, I wonder how such a conversion affects the manufacturers warranty?

They have found that sheep and solar farms go well together, the panels provide shade and condensation on the panels water the grass so it grows better than in a non solar paddock.

Solar farms seem great for agriculture, two incomes from the same bit of land.

You are joking, have you seen how many Birds are driving them on the School Run?

I’m not sure putting a capital B at the start of birds makes the derogatory term any better. But now you’ve started digging the hole, let me help out by asking how many driving the car actually bought the car?

Double income on land is a good thing but there is always two views on everything. There were complaints about the wind turbines affecting the migratory birds. On the solar panel fields they complained about it effecting wild game fowl like pleasant, quail, Partridge and things like that. There is a 2 mile by 2 mile solar panel field. It is fenced off to keep the cattle and wildlife away from the panels, to prevent the cows from using them a scratching posts and stop the deer from ripping out the wiring with their horns.

Complaints existing are very different from there actually being a significant impact on migratory birds from wind farms. The gulf between true fact and fake perception is fully demonstrated by one Donald Trump on this matter. More birds are killed by domestic cats than are killed by wind farms … but funnily enough no-one, certainly not Trump, have been complaining about that.

No, No, wankers buy a RAM

It’s the women who buy 4by utes like my dual cab ute, they are the family car to replace the Ford Falcon or Holden Commodore when they were discontinued.

You’ve got it completely wrong, my son drives a Suzuki Swift, my daughter in law got a Great Wall Ute to take the kids to school in.

I think that you are suggesting that men who buy RAM trucks are not married…?

What I was surprised that never caught on in warm climates like much of Australia was the Polaris Slingshot .

They were all over Florida roughly 5 years ago but now rare to see one , I love them but yes a bald head in one is dangerous sun beating on me but love their look .

Not here they don’t Bruce. I pass a couple of large solar panel farms on my way to the coast and the security is more substantial than at the airport…Nothing gets in or out of those establishments.

Don’t ā€œDigā€ holes man, these Birds don’t need gentlemanly defense, Imo, they are more than able to defend their actions.

Yebut, cats don’t put 50% on your electricity bills.
In my opinion, there are lots of reasons why Wind Turbines are just expensive eyesores and an unpractical inefficient waste of time and money, but killing a few migratory birds is not one of them… :009:

I don’t think open cars have ever been a thing here. You see the odd one very, very occasionally but air con is far more important.

Open cars are more a car for wet cold climates like Britain :icon_wink:

In NSW we have anti hoon laws, my youngest son had his car confiscated for 3 months for doing a wheelie in a car park when he was still at school. (that doesn’t happen for drunk driving!!)

If I wanted an open top car I’d just buy a motorbike…
Cars in the UK are mainly to get you to work, the shopping from the supermarket, and to keep the rain off yer head…

Yes, indeed Bruce, you have not forgotten what Blighty’s all about, a convertible is essential for this climate, I am never without one.

Two of my cousins (unrelated to each other) always drove Morgans and three colleagues when I lived in London had an MG, a Sprite and a Triumph Spitfire.

I have never known anyone with an open car in Australia and can’t remember the last time I saw one. I think the total number I have seen in the 60 years I have lived here could be counted on my fingers.
