Raccoons Show Up For Dinner On My Deck

Sometimes one will tap on the door to let me know it’s dinner time.
They love cat kibble. Listen to that crunching!

I like to see animals use their paws as hands. :grinning:
We have birds that knock on the window when they want some grub.

Great video but won’t 3 in time turn into 30 ?

I imagine those 3 a family ?

I thought about that, but it hasn’t happened. They did have a few babies who showed up for a couple of summers. And for a few visits there were three more. Racoons are nomadic & they all moved on after a year. They were replaced by two Opossums.

Opossums I love but as you racoons destructive I did not know nomadic thought once found area with food stayed around .

Edit , As you know they LOVE marshmallows ( who doesn’t ) but yes not nearly as good for them as cat food

playing possum should be playing opossum really
possums don’t do that.

Love both racoons and possums … racoons have such cute little hands and intelligent faces.

I used to have a couple of cats that tapped their paws on the bedroom window … not next to a bird, obviously.

Why did you lock your cats outside on the window ledge?

I tried giving them a key but they kept losing it or giving it to the Toms next door and then they could never find the catflap … so when they wanted breakfast they knocked on the window to wake me up.

Well, I guess that that’s better treatment than you ever gave Mr Morty when he came home after a night on the razz. :grimacing:

It’s just as well he likes a bit of rough
