Promotions at work

I read somewhere, that in a typical work environment, a high proportion of the staff, take for granted that their hard work and dedication, will be noticed and that they will be rewarded when the time comes around for someone to get promoted, or paid a pay rise.

Then, apparently, there are just one or two, who, having a bit more Nous, have spotted this long in advance and have taken steps to get firmly in the frame.

Guess who gets the promotions?

Anyone here noticed this?

All too frequently. Once promoted, a fair number of them talk for no purpose and they seem to drop useful work output and get money for no rope.

This is true in secondary schools anyway.

But l do have the answer l think?
Would it be the arse licker ??:thinking:
