Yes, the cafe was built about 6 years ago. Lasted about 4 years before closing as a money losing venture.
In the UK a builder would buy that just to knock it down and use the land for development.
What’s it age? It looks sort of 1920’s ish.
I like it …it’s atmospheric … do you have Listed buildings over there to prevent demolition.

This Tiger is Hungry.
It was built in 1901 as a weatherboard building which was destroyed by fire. This concrete version was built in 1910 on the same site. Last beers were poured in 1952.
The building is heritage listed so any plans at restoration must retain the shell.
It’s an interesting building … I like it. In the UK that price would be a steal …don’t know whether it’s attractive or not in Oz.
The usual problem though is what to do with buildings that size.
Apparently it sold in 2021 for $149,000

That is no tiger QE. IMO it is the Thylacine or Tasmanian marsupial wolf that has been the subject of an interesting programme broadcast on The World Service Radio
To be fair it is also known as the Tasmanian Tiger. Of course it has been extinct since the 1930s.
It was wiped out on the mainland long before by the dingo.
