Presents for Children

Hi

I don’t have Grandkids, but have a great niece and two pretend grandkids, both these being children of my carers.

The latter two enjoy coming with mum in school holidays, they earn a little money for doing bits round the house and enjoy the stairlift and sliding sheets etc.

I enjoy being the fun grandad who gets them things that Mum and Dad wouldn’t get them.

The youngest loves dinosaurs and is fascinated by tattoos so she is getting kids temporary waterproof glow in the dark stick on dinosaur tattoos.

They can easily be removed by rubbing with olive oil.

The nearly 8 year old has no fear whatsoever and wants to raise some money for a charity and get a medal. She is getting the Guiness book of records 2026. It has a kid’s zone in the book with some mad records for kids.

The nearly 10 year old wants to be a Forensics person, all dressed in white like she sees on TV.

She is getting a Science Kit, complete with googles, with which you can grow your crystals and make your own volcano.

It is her birthday just before Christmas so for that I am giving her a fingerprint kit and a proper magnifying glass with a LED Light.

All Good Fun.

What thoughtful gifts!

You seem to have put a good deal of thought into each, and it’s so much more fun watching kids open gifts than gift cards or money. I am sure Christmas will be fun for all! :gift: :christmas_tree:

Hi Surfer

I refuse point blank to buy to buy them pink girly presents.

They will get enough of them.

Neither will Indigo get a snake, Mum is scared of them and Indigo wants to keep Mum out of her room.

Times really have changed since I was that age.

Shonas new car has individual Inter ports for each of the three girls she has.

Mum loves that , stops them squabbling.

Parenting is so dfferent than when I had kids that age.
