Premium Bonds - have you won anything?

Mines a pint…

Hi Foxy

Please re-read post 511.

If we are in a race then I could well be the loser. Not had any wins for years.

There’s still time until Christmas for you two to have big wins… But just to be on the safe side I better start saving up…:frowning:

I would. :-p

Well perhaps I could stump up for a small one…

I’m a cheap date foxy. :-p

No problem Longy, all my dates have been cheap…:102:

2x£25 this month.

Can push the boat out -but not very far!

Well done Muddy :023:

I’m afraid it’s zilch for me this month. :frowning:

Had a £25 this month:-D

Well done Galty
I do wish one of us would hit the big time!

Nothing for me in July’s draw…OGF will be happy, lol!

Winning nothing is, obviously, one of the drawbacks of owning Premium Bonds. If that’s tied in with a substantial investment, say £20,000, then that money is rapidly losing value.

I have a current acount with Santander, in which I keep the maximum of £20,000 - that returns interest at 1.5% (it used to be 3%) plus cashback on regular bill payments which comes to nearly £25 a month. Since I opened the account a few years ago, I have “earned” over £2,500.

It may not be “big time” but it’s regular …

:023:

1.5% is a pittance return for giving such hard earned cash to a bank.

If you’d put that cash into a P2P lender like Ratesetter you’d have earned anywhere from 3 to 5% per year.

You appear to have forgotten that I have posted many times about RateSetter, in which I have been investing for several years …

You also appear to have forgotten that you replied to some of those posts …

Your advice, therefore, is not required … :018:

I do wish I could get a £25 win once in a while. (I hold £1,000.)

I never win either Jazzi…I have 5k…maybe those who win have a much larger stake in them.

we.ve had a couple of £25s but come to think of it not for a long time, about due one I think but I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a big win.
