Polymer Clay Sculpting

Hi, I did a few sculptures in polymer clay a while back, the Clay Super Sculpy hardens in an ordianry oven on 220 for 15mins. It was a lot of fun and quite a cheap hobby. I watched some youtube video tutorials first.

I could be wrong but if you make a few more posts you might find you graduate up the ladder and will be able to post images.

I’d love to see your stuff too … it sounds intriguing.

You make the base shape in tinfoil and big coctail sticks and masking tape, then you use a pasta maker to flatten and soften the clay and press in over the base, pop in oven 15mins and let it cool for 10mins and its done.

Sounds like something I’d sandwich with fresh cream.

And great fun to do.

Well soon you’ll have enough posts that you will be able to post pictures. A while back I considered taking a class on it but then Covid hit.
How do you learn how to do it?
Did you do it on your own or with a class?
Is it fun?
How expensive are the materials to do it?

The Clay is If I remember about £8 a box, and after you put it through the pasta mangle stretches quite far. one box may make one statue about 12inches high. you get it from amazon , you also use tools like dentest picks to help with details etc…

I learned watching youtube tutorials

Some people misunderstand the reasons why…
It is purley to see your responsible and not going to upset anybody…think about it anything on the Internet can be a very unsavory place…we have a boss that has no idea about us in truth…so the only way is to see what we get up to in our postings…they are really the only clue as to ourselves…
