PMQs is a huge test for Prime Minister Liz Truss who is trying to survive from one day to the next

There plenty … :laughing:

“Energy Support Guarantee” was today’s mantra … :pray:

There seemed to quite a bit of scowling going on when she heard something that she didn’t like…also quite a bit of this sort of thing :woman_shrugging:

It may be unrelated but:

Liz Truss has pulled out of a planned event this afternoon, during which she was due to take questions from journalists.

Downing Street has not given any reason for the canning of the trip to an electronics manufacturer.

A source said the visit was cancelled due to “government business”, but declined to elaborate further.

Post-PMQ Blues … ? Gone for a lie-down under the desk … ?

Maybe she’s spending the afternoon trying to persuade Hunt not to quit after she made an uncosted and un-agreed policy about the Triple Lock , ad hoc, during PMQ?

If only Blackford had asked a question which would have enabled her to respond about the price cap freeze, then all would have been well. But it put her all off-kilter (there is a Scottish pun, if anyone’s that bothered :wink:) :joy::joy:

Ask where all the money has gone, Boris and Liz must know. :astonished: :open_mouth:

@Cinderella , Rishi knows too !
He gave the go ahead ?
Furlough, PPE, track and trace, all signed off by Rishi !! :-1::-1:

Wonder if the government has put a few quid on the Euro lottery?

Did he have any choice; hardly likely to tell Boris to stick it. Boris was playing catch up, no time to worry about balancing the books.

As far as voting is concerned find myself out on a limb.

When Rishi resigned as Chancellor, there was £30 billion headroom but by the time Liz was spouting her stuff on the Leadership Campaign Trail, the OBR was warning that this headroom could be halved to £15 billion due to rising inflation.
The cost of Truss and Kwarteng reversing Rishi’s plans to increase the National Insurance levies lost the Government £13 billion of income - it doesn’t take long for a Government to fritter away the other billion or two - that probably went on Liz Truss’s Executive travel arrangements and “Fizz with Liz” expense claims! :wink:
