Please Tell Me These Are Not Human Bones

Whilst digging the garden to plant some shrubs in my garden today, these bones were found in the soil.
I am hoping they are animal bones but what if they are human bones?
I wonder how Vera is fixed for a case?

What do you think they are from? Do you ever find bones in your garden?

Well I would ask … are they as long as a femur or as short as a digit?

How big are they Art?

You must stop digging Arty, you are destroying the environment, they could be a geezers bones or a birds bones, don’t matter either way, you have released Carbon, end off.

This is like, Silent Witness!!!
I can’t believe that l have just gone down my garden with a tape measure and a ‘miners’ torch thing on my head…

The darker coloured one is about 5 - 6 inches. The white looking one is about 4 inches. (Sorry, l can’t do metric!!)

Until you find a human skull I wouldn’t worry about them.
We often dig up mysterious decaying lumps of strange things in our garden, they are always found to be long -buried socks though.

Did the previous owners have dogs? Perhaps these are forgotten hidden treats?

Minx, The previous owner was an air hostess. She had a son and an…ex husband. The house was too immaculate, so l don’t think she ever had a dog!

Before this house was built approx 30 years ago, it was a chicken farm!!
An old lady lived alone in a chalet on the land… she might have had dogs?

Oh Gosh! Carol. That’s made me really freak out!!

More likely they are the bones of a cherished pet, dog or cat perhaps, or buried by a dog & forgotten where it was put.

I think it’s a bit big for a chicken, or a turkey. What about… Pterodactyls?
Could it be one of them?

Does that mean l have to touch the bones? Eeeeeeeeeeek…

We have a rabbit buried here & a few birds that hit the windows & broke their necks before we had shapes on them, Next door have several cats & a dog buried in their garden.
