Of the 6 fruits I am going to purchase, both supermarkets have the same price.
Except one has Rockmelon at 5 cents cheaper than the other.
I have seen Supermarket representatives in the opposition store taking note of the competitions prices.
They even go into the independent fruit and veg store to get their prices.

Unfortunately apples which I eat 2 a day are not grown in Florida and prices have soared .
Rockmelon which looked up looks like what we call cantaloupe

I have two apple trees. Plus a pear & plumb tree, which I planted this year & which will thus not fruit for a few years. And this year has been a good year on my apple trees. The trees are old & well established, but were horribly over grown when I moved in so I pruned them back heavily & thus had a poor year last year. But this year has produced a bumper crop. Most days for the past few months, I have been able to walk into the garden & pick a fresh apple. The fruit on one tree matured in mid August, the other in late September. So I am now into my 4th month of a fresh apple a day.

Oh that is nice , I have 2 apples daily because in my mind they " save me " from all the junk I eat .
They sell lots fruit on off road stands here and cheap but apples you can only buy in supermarkets .
