A stainless bolt complete with nut and shakeproof washers

I assume Spitty ?
Another question if l may?
Does just the one bolt hold the stand onto the bike ?
BTW, Very interesting project l think?
You seem to be a jack of all sorta bloke ??
Your photos ain’t bad either !!

 Donkeyman!

DM, yes stainless bolt and shakeproof washer, no nut, the stand is threaded so the bolt is a blind fit.
Tomorrow will sort stuff out, the built front wheel, five weeks in the making is due, so pick it up, get innertube and tyre fitted, first time the Bomber has stood alone.

Hope you survive take off Spitty !!

D man!

With your photographs of Kitty Hawk
And the biplanes on your wall
You were always Amy Johnson
From the time that you were small
No schoolroom kept you grounded
While your thoughts could get away
You were taking off in Tiger Moths
Your wings against the brush-strokes of the day
Are you there
On the tarmac with the winter in your hair
By the empty hangar doors you stop and stare
Leave the oil-drums behind you, they won’t care
Oh, are you there

Five weeks on the wheel is here from the builders, got to go to work so, fitting the disc will have to wait.

Disc done, got to wait for the Wife to get back so we can balance the frame high enough to insert the wheel. The Bomber is quite heavy and powerful so might have to buy a double disc set up hub, and have another wheel laced capable of running twin discs, if the single disc does not have enough stopping power.

The Bomber stands on its own two wheels, the Sur-ron is like a Ballet Dancer, the Bomber is like a Blunt Instrument.

Any side panels to fit to cover up the gubbins?

Yes Barry, this is it loosely fitted, on the floor is the cover for the controller but, as previously mentioned, the controller is too large for it so am waiting on some white aluminum bar to make extenders with.

I think lve spotted your deliberate mistake Spitty ?
There’s not much room for Mrs Spitty on the seat ??
BTW, If the brakes are weak, try fitting a reversing switch to
the motor !!

 Donkeyman!

It’s in the loom DM, just got to establish forward first.

Further to post #69, the white aluminium bar arrived so, I have extended the controller cover, just ordered some more aluminium to trim it up.

DM, this is the reverse function wire, because you have to hard wire this yourself, I will wait and see if its needed. Bought the 72V to 12v, 5a amp automatic voltage stabilizer/power converter regulator today to save having to tap into any of the controller wires for a supply for the lights, indicators horn etc.

Getting there Spit, looking good…

Cheers Barry, I ain’t been in a rush with it because there was a long delivery period on the battery charger from China, just been informed it is now in this country so there is now a deadline.

Good idea Spitty!
Leave reverse untill you are sure the bike will go forward when you
take off!!
Ha! Ha! Don’t want to wheelie backwards do we ??
Is that possible ??
Hurry up!
Can’t wait for video of test flight !!

 Donkeyman!

Richard Branson's got FA on you mate !!

Got a GoPro mount for Helmet, Cannock Chase or Carsington Water are the first penciled destinations, will it be Bomber or Sur-ron?

DM, I think a reverse wheelie is an endo.

That's a stoppie Spitty ain't it?
but the direction of travel is opposite?
Does that make sense ??

 Donkeyman!

Yep, Stoppie, endo, most Endo’s are unintentional.

Hi Spitty, just a little sumfink l just knocked up to go wiv your
ode!
Would like your opinion?

             TIGER MOTH
The engine starts with a splutter and cough
 Cut the richness
 And then we are off
Ease back the stick and the nose lifts up,
More throttle then as up we go,
 Soaring high amongst the clouds,
Borne upon wings, of sticks and cloth
There's nothing like flying,a Tiger Moth,
Sputtering along as clouds go by,
Oh what a joy it is to fly
 My Tiger Moth.

D. Man, today?
