Picture quality down to 480p instead of 4K

Please do not ask how it happened because I don’t have a clue. It concerns watching videos, either mine or any other. For some unknown reason the monitor decided to reduce video quality to the lowest level 480p instead of 2160p 4K. So had to reset it
with stills no change @4k

Have updated your display adapter driver?

If you are streaming content such as watching youtube - they will downgrade the quality if you have a poor connection, so check your internet connection if it persists…

thank you for your suggestions BUT it was only the monitor that altered nothing else, as I explained in my post. only had to go into the gear wheel Icon at the bottom of the screen
