I predict that Avatars will, very soon, become live, talking, images of faces.
No need for typing in, no need for photos.
No finding out that your sender is, actually, 30 years older than what the photo suggests that they are.
A bit similar to to the ‘Portal’ devices.

Just for the record, my picture in my avatar was taken of me ten years ago when, of course, I was much younger and more handsome.
My avatar is of one of my all time heroes so nothing like me at all.
I actually look a lot younger than my age (so I’m told) - this was about a year ago when I was in NYC with Mrs Bread

I have met a number of members on this site.
They are all lovely and I would never, ever, post a photo of them.
That would be a breech of trust.
Something which I do not do.
I do post about how intelligent and good looking they are.
I also recognise that they are well out of my league.
Great fun, but I would never, ever try, to get off with them.
A nice day out is great fun, but that is as far as it goes.
Eating out on your own is no great fun.
