Every now and again I get the opportunity to take a few photographs from the cockpit. Mostly if I’m solo the camera or phone is firmly tucked away, but with summer on it’s way I thought I’d share an image from last year whilst heading south to Clacton
Do you fly from Clacton? I gained my PPL there.
Welcome to the forum Fly4Fun, what a brilliant first post.

I do hope that you will stick around and share some great aerial photography.
Nice to welcome a fellow engineer.
A hearty welcome to the forum Chris! ![]()
It certainly looks exhilarating up there, beautiful on a sunny day no doubt.
It’s always good to have new members with different interests and passions.
As Foxy has already said, hopefully you’ll stick around! ![]()
I originally learned at Beccles but often fly south past Ipswich, then over the estuary into Kent. If I have time, along the south coast, past Shoreham, then to Sandown for a cuppa ![]()
I have a few I can share but usually fly solo and keep the phone in my “go bag”
That is my intention for sure
Here’s a photo which is very much NOT Norfolk (in fact NZ), but using my rather expensive flight simulator which I use to practice procedures and just have fun

And now Beccles is just up the road to me. Often see a/c buzzing around that are from there.
hurrah
We now have or own Biggles. ![]()
welcome to the forum
Welcome from me too … ![]()
I well remember the first time I got into a large aircraft. I managed to get a window seat and looked outside. The stewerdess came along so I said to her “We are so high up here those people look like ants”
She replied “They are ants we have not taken off yet”
That’s it: ignore me. ![]()
LOL - never ignoring anyone. I’ll try to not make too much of a buzz next time I’m near Beccles
Some Instrument flying (as P2) up to Leeds

Biggles was a man
Maybe “Worrals” then. A character also by W E Johns, but female and I actually have an early edition of “Worrals on the warpath”
Ah , a diplomat … I like you.
Always been a team player and worked with many people. Diplomacy is a key to successful working I’ve found
