Partial solution to camcorder lighting

One issue with the panasonic hc-x1500 camcorder is lighting up an area.subject when the lighting is poor. Well I have come up with a partial solution. that is adding a CN-160 LED light.

I had to cut down a bit of kit I no longer use but I wanted the thread. Also kicking around I had another bit of kit that one can slide a microphone or light into but had a recess to which the threaded stud went into. Next I used a bit of spare rubber I cut to size to protect and take up any slack if things didn’t line up .

the piece on the right again a bit of no longer wanted plastici height extn to use to protect the handle hole when not in use.

so did it work? the door is 15 ft away. Video starts with no camcorder light on- then built in handle light and finally the extra i bolted on

I think it is a lot better considering and good enough for anything ujp to say at least 10 ft away say at a parfty for instance. To do a weddding reception or similar then obviously more powerful lights would be needed. But seeing I had this stuff lying about it cost me nothing

Perhaps you would be better occupied getting out and about with the camera and entertaining us with the sights and sounds of your local suburb rather than more shots of the inside of your house.

I have to ask. Do you ever go out?

I don’t want to be employed again thank you after having owned my own business. being employed is a mugs game where all you are doing is putting money into someone elses pocket.
I don’t actually live in Bexhill I live a few miles away but still come under the Rother district council. So it would mean using the car and paying lot of money to park .
If we did what you suggest then we would say goodbye to a fantastic holiday later on in the year to celebrate our Golden wedding this friday comming.

Remember we don’t have kangaroos hopping about in Bexhill or stupid Koala bears clinging to trees to video. right outside our house .

After this covid episode everywhere have put up their prices to try and recover lost revenue.
To go even for a decent meal at our local Thai restaurant would set us back by between £50 and £100 with drinks etc.

So what with the bad weather etc at the monent and short days and so cold going out is not an option. Obviously your memory is fading as I said in a previous post I am not putting up videos on here using this camcorder you would have to go onto my youtube channel instead. The above was a test shot only about lighting with it

You do what makes you happy, RS, and I hope you enjoy a wonderful Golden Wedding anniversary this Friday! Congratulations - are you going to capture any of it on film? Not for us, necessarily, but for family?

Never fear RS I have edited my post to reflect your concerns.

However it would be lovely to see the output of the new camcorder rather than photos of it with different attachments. Surely that is the reason you bought it? There are cheaper things you can take photos of.
