this is the story of a young girl lived close by where i live i know all her family and even did know herself
This song was written in honour of a beautiful girl who is no longer with us.
Another victim of hospital overcrowding who waited 12 hours to get the treatment that could have saved her life. Although this year’s inquest resulted in a verdict that recognised the failings of the health system, this is yet another case where justice will never be fully applied…
Prayers for this family and lots of love.
just wondered what thoughts about this anyone has full story in the link here
Universal anything will eventually fail if initial infrastructure isn’t first solidly in place and staffed first, and then rigorously maintained. It’s an expensive reality.
It’s so sad. I wondered if there is anyone who would dare to say that it couldn’t happen at his or her place. Being forced to care for 190 patients as a doctor in an emergency department is ridiculous. It could happen at my place for structural reasons and those inherent in human nature. The risk for the patients would only be lowered by changing the staff-patients ratio and the whole system of funding. The root of the problem is allowing neoliberal thinking to get a foothold in the healthcare system since health is not a tradeable commodity that would depend on people’s income. Crucial mistakes were made in the past which led to the present situation in a number of countries.
@Feey I do not know anything about the location where this hospital is situated, but here much of the problem can be put squarely on GP’s for failing to give a face-to-face appointment within a reasonably acceptable time, if at all. This in turn blocks A&E or even the minor’s units up and down England. Faced with rejection by the GP, many of these patients are going straight to A & E for help and/or advice.
