Over 50's Wales Club

Very wet and and cold here . Lots of kiddies trying to do sports on the beach, they must be soaked through
Glad the wedding went well Doc

Had a nice buffet lunch at my son’s. He and my middle grandson are on the way to France for the WalesvRussia game tomorrow.Hope there’s no trouble.

Horrible driving on the M4 this morning-heavy rain, clearing up a bit now.Has the rain affected the Wales club-quiet on here.

not much to write about, its raining :frowning:

Clearing up now after a very wet start . I’d already put my wash on my indoor airer and it can stay there now
No real news xxx

Heavy rain first thing…my poor roses are decimated by it:-(
Stayed in Gwbert many years ago…not in the Cliff too expensive for us at the time…our b and b didn’t serve alcohol and as it was when Wales was dry on a Sunday we used to go to the Cliff…you were supposed to be resident in the hotel to get a drink…the barman said it was surprising how many rooms had multiple occupancy…you had to give your room number to get a drink

morning folks, overcast here this morning, but dry:-)
off out for lunch today, plus a bit of shopping

Cymru Am Byth.Well done Wales on winning the match last night:-)Son no1 and middle grandson were at the game-bet they’re pretty hoarse this morning.
Dry this morning, washing out on the line.

Well done Wales - even though it’s the wrong shaped ball!

Had a lovely morning meeting and greeting in the Cathedral in Brecon yesterday. First couple through the door were from Adelaide, S. Australia, second couple (two young ladies) were from Minnesota and on their way down to Swansea for a few days, third couple were from Pennsylvania and to round the morning off a coachload from Gower arrived. There is a beautiful cross suspended from the roof in the centre of the cathedral and it was made from driftwood by a lady living in Reynoldston/Rhossili, so they were all interested in seeing that!

Off to take Rob out for lunch this morning as we have to stay home tomorrow to wait for the wheelchair engineer. I shall be thinking it’s Wednesday all day today and will have lost a day by the end of the week.

went and looked inside Brecon cathederal a couple of yrs back, nice little cafe/tea rooms opposite.

is this the place sue?

Sunshine and cloud here and a chill breeze
Going out for pub-lunch in a mo
have a good day xxx

Yes that’s it Doc. This photo is taken from the cafe (Pilgrims) and the door in front leads into the South transept. The window is the West window.

Just finished tea with the family and off to Craft Club shortly. It’s all go isn’t it?

You put me to shame Sue . All I could think when i got up was I didnt really have anything to do or anywhere to go lol
Wet start and even though it stopped raining at the mo its all damp and overcast so I dont mind a duvet day

Cold and drizzly.Special thoughts for my best friend who would be celebrating her birthday today. We would be the same age until the September when I would be older than her,we always joked about that.I miss her every day,we were friends for over 40 years.

must be in the 20s this afternoon, just moved sheep, and its so hot, bloody grey flies are about grrr

Bloomin’ horse fly bit me yesterday evening.

Something very wrong in the greenhouse. Three of the tomato plants are distorted at the growing tips, so I’ve chopped them off in case it’s a virus. Will Google it when I have time.

Off to U3A this morning and hopefully meeting Rosie afterwards.

Happy Birthday Nimby xxx
