Over 50's Wales Club

Took car into the garage by 8.30.It’ll take a couple of hours to put a new indicator stick.
You poor thing Jac.Hope you’re not in so much pain today.
Nice sunny morning.
Keep safe.

Lovely sunny morning and washing out on the line. Persuaded grandson to help me pull the fridge out and had a clean underneath it - don’t know when I last did that! Next project will be the cooker!!!

Cooked up a massive casserole for the lambing crew - Chris and I had some out of it for our lunch. Cakes tomorrow.

Another lovely sunny day and washing dried on the line. But I have just seen the forecast and what is coming across the Atlantic - ooo er!

Spent the morning in the kitchen making cakes for the lambing crew. Nearly passed out in the kitchen but when I went to get the washing off the line about 4 pm it was a different kettle of fish! Couldn’t get back in fast enough.

Back to the rain today-got very wet on our walk earlier.
Glad to be indoors for the rest of the day.
Do hope the hairdressers will be able to open soon,my hair is such a mess.
Stay safe.

Yippee - message from my hairdresser. Appointment for March 17th. Thank goodness for that.

Made a pot of leek and potato soup and having looked at the forecasts for the next few days, suddenly decided to go and do some shopping. It was raining a bit, but think it will be much worse later in the week (forecast for sleet on Saturday morning!)

Heavy showers this morning but had a dry walk.
Went shopping this morning.Had to wait around until they came to unpack the fresh flowers.I always have fresh flowers in the house and I wanted some to take to my parent’s grave tomorrow.
All being well my hairdresser can come on Tuesday morning-told her to bring a hedge trimmer!
Keep safe.

What a wild night - I don’t usually hear a thing but even I heard the wind last night. Sunshine and showers this morning - didn’t think it would be as nice as this. Sat in the conservatory and put a few more pieces in the jigsaw. Washing machine going but I don’t think I’ll bother putting the line out today. Grandson is glued to his laptop. Says he’s done his schoolwork - now it’s Minecraft!

No schoolwork for the grandson today - can’t remember the reason. Managed to persuade him to read a book for part of the morning and we made Welsh cakes and played games in the kitchen this afternoon. Has now turned into a horrid wild wet evening. Had a visit this morning from youngest son (my Mothers Day visit). When I enquired as to the reason that he couldn’t come on Sunday, turned out he’d arranged to go and cut firewood with his gang of oppos! (Get your priorities right!)

Oh and by the way, he offered to put the new washing machine in for me - pointed out that I’d just had an invoice for £60 from the plumber for doing that job last Saturday…

Had a surprise visit from granddaughter and g.grand children yesterday afternoon.G.granddaughter wanted to give me"pretty nice smelly flowers" for Mother’s Day.G.grandson gave me some jelly babies, not a whole packet-he’d eaten some!Made my day.
Looking forward to the game this afternoon.Pob lwc Cymru.
Second jab at 6.15.Lockdown easing a bit.Roll on Tuesday for a hair cut.

Changeable day today .The storm made a right mess on my balcony and window . I.ve fallen again so not going out there . I couldnt get hold of our handiman so rang next door and she went outside and found 2 workmen to get me up . Embarrasing ???
Taking it very easy . Be safe xxx

Oh you poor thing Jac.Sending you best wishes, take it easy.

Oh Jac, sorry to hear that. Hope you’re feeling OK now.

Went to the farm to watch the match (just as I walked out of the door it began to hail storm. Glad to leap into the car). Watched the England v France match until half time (grandsons cheering England on - how strange to hear).

What a fabulous win yesterday.Roll on for the match and the Grand Slam next week.
Had my second jab yesterday. My arm is really sore this morning, more painful than the first one.
Son no1 is going to cook me a steak for lunch.Going to have video call with son no2 later on.
Hope your pain isn’t too bad today Jac.
Happy Mother’s Day.Miss my Mam.
Stay safe.

Had a lovely card from Rob’s girlfriend (!) and a beautiful bouquet from the lambing crew, and a message from my granddaughter. Must go and find something for lunch now, having dawdled the morning away.

Great win yesterday for the boys - and a terrific match between England and France. Have to confess I was glad England won (!)

Hope you’re feeling better today Jac. Take care.

Video call from son no2 didn’t happen this morning-he came in person it was a total surprise, had a lovely lunch with my two"boys".

Dry so far this morning-forecast is showers.
Seeing son no2 made my day yesterday. He was here for 6 hours. He’s such a tonic.
My arm is not sore today so it only lasted a day.
Had letter from DWP this morning-pension increased by £2 a week from April 12th.
Stay safe.

Just checking in . No real news ,just taking it easy
Take care xxxx

Had a quick trip down to Hay to collect prescription, some eggs and a jar of curry sauce so that I can do a big curry for the lambing crew. How lovely to see some blossom appearing here and there. Two lovely almond trees in Clyro, a gorgeous pinl camellia and some bright forsythia - and a little bit of blackthorn and the hedges are starting to green up by the river.

Had a phone call from youngest grandson earlier on. His brother is back in school this week and Mum is at work. Lambing shed is going bonkers so he had to stay home and help his Dad! Bless.

Made a big chicken curry to take over there later. Trying to decide what to do for my lunch now.

Frosty sunny morning.Lovely to see the yellow celendines.
Feeling human today after my hair cut yesterday!
Have been contacting painters to get a quote to do some outside painting.Left messages on a few of answering machines but so far only one has come back to me.
Stay safe.
