The wind has abated today.Rained this morning but now the sunās shinning.
Manged to get to Tesco this morning.One part of the road from the village has traffic lights as one side is covered in debris after the flooding.Glad the worst is over.Thanks for asking Nom.
I have very fond memories of my 4 holidays in Wales, based at Conwy we explored your beautiful part of the country simply spectacular views around the coastline, and Anglesey really won my heart.
Much better today and Iāve been busy with the hoover.
My g/daughters car died on her yesterday and she has to get to Uni today. I only said that I donāt use mine much and she jumped on it . Looks like it may be a longish loan !! She has had some bad luck lately so what can you do ?

Gas boiler man was due to service my boiler at 11 this morning.Annoyingly heās not turned up,have texted him but no reply,think Iāll tell him that Iāll get someone else to do the job.He did it last year so I thought heād be reliable.

My friend is picking me up for our pub lunch later . Iām trying not to worry about my car !!

My friend went on his hols to Spain this morning.Son no 1 is off to Hong Kong tomorrow and son no2 is off to Canada on Saturday(both for work) Donāt like it when both sons are out of the country.

Just back from the quiz in the pub. 8th tonight (out of 16) so not too bad - especially considering there was one round all about football - definitely not our thing.

Remembering Aberfan-52 years on.
I still remember hearing the news about Aberfan . My husband had got his lorry and tools ready to go and help when the news came to say they already had too many volunteers.
Lovely day again but Iāve got a really heavy cold so feel lousy. Unusual for me
I remember Aberfan too, such a shock. Another lovely autumn day here and Vanessa came up last night and we took Rob out to lunch at the Golf Club. They squeezed us into a corner as they had 60 members of the Hereford Breeders Association to lunch. We had some beef that melted in the mouth, and oh the flavourā¦ Canāt get joints like that to cook at home, canāt afford to buy one that size! Stuffed now, wonāt be eating again today.
Going to be another sunny day after the mist has lifted.
Taking dog for a haircut by 9.30 otherwise no plans today.
