Its nice and sunny here after a real stormy night . My window is filthy but think I’ll leave it until the rainclouds have gone away.
Enjoy your visitors Rhosyn xx
Started off wet and windy here too. No point in combing your hair before leaving the house! Rob’s birthday today (54) so we had strawberries and chocolate cake (courtesy of Morrisons) for tea.
Happy Birthday Rob xx
Overcast but dry .I’ve been waiting for a phone call from garage to tell me the man and machine has arrived . No joy yet and bet I get a call when I’m eating my meal .Don’t feel like going out now .
Took Rob back to the optician today, his eye has still not cleared up. More (different) antibiotic drops but the surgery doesn’t stock them and the chemist can’t get them until tomorrow, so that’s mucked up my Saturday morning plans.
Cloudy this morning.
Going to visit my friend who broke her hip in May,she’s hasn’t been too good the last week.Hope I can cheer her up a bit.
Its like winter here , really cold and rain just started.I knew I shouldn’t have cleaned my window .
Have a good one
Rainy and a bit chilly this morning.
Going to see Swan Lake on the big screen from Royal Opera House.Nice way to spend a wet Sunday afternoon.
Like Winter here again . Lots of kids on the beach doing sports , they will be soaked .
Daughter visited so that passed an hour
Enjoy Swan Lake xx
Out to lunch to celebrate the boys’ birthdays, all stuffed now. Going to watch Poldark and then pack my case, off to Liverpool at sparrowfart tomorrow morning (to see the terracotta warriors amongst other things). See you all on Wednesday evening, take care.
Started off okay now the rain’s here, had to dash out to get the clothes in.
Enjoyed the ballet yesterday.
Hope Sue enjoys her trip to Liverpool.
S afe journey Sue xx
Another wintry day , I’ve got my fire on because the mist makes everything feel damp.
Been busy with the hoover so that’s my excitement for the day
Heavy drizzle this morning.
Been to surgery this morning, got an eye infection.Had it for a couple of weeks but treating it myself didn’t improve it.Saw a locum doctor who looked about 14!
Staying in for the rest of the day.
Another dismal morning-weather wise.
Meeting friends for coffee later.
Hope you got your car sorted Jac.
I took car in after Linden Tree and the man had left his computer with garage . Robert did it in about 20 mins but told me the part required is about £900 . He was loth to order it because the car is safe to drive so he just adjusted something and said that may work? The light came on when I was driving home but no juddering noise so we will see.
Another dismal day and I’ve just had Tesco to deliver and I had ordered 2 chops but 8 were delivered . My finger must have been impatient . TG for freezers lol
Glorious day here and they have turned the hay in the field behind the house, the smell is heavenly. Water butts are looking low again, but I don’t think they are going to be filled up any time soon. We have a funeral tomorrow afternoon. A man of 60, friend of my boys growing up, - only ill a month. Great shock for the whole community, it’s going to be a difficult day.
We have lost a lot of village folk this year , sad to think we are the oldies now !
Went to a friends b/day in her garden and managed to fall up a step so I’ve got a few more bruises . I’d only had a small glass of wine .
Summer is here at last so I’m going to watch the tide come in and out with a good book. Have a good one
The Church service yesterday was very emotional. I was lucky to have a seat in the Church, sat down, looked up and there were John’s drums on the chancel steps, the snare drum with drumsticks the heads of which were made from red roses. Needless to say I nearly lost it. The Church looked amazing, never seen so many flowers and his family were wonderful. Tea afterwards at the Golf Club which was a wonderful community occasion. Such a shame that it takes a sad occasion to get us all together.
Another lovely day.Been doing some gardening before it gets too hot.
Enjoy the sunshine.
Lovely day here .
I’ve had new bedroom windows fitted . One of my neighbours had ordered them but when they came they weren’t the ones he wanted so he asked me if I wanted them for a bargain so I said yes and they are in situ and look lovely.xx
Phew it’s hot (I’m not grumbling!) Having to water with the hose now the water butts are empty. Keeping Rob cool is quite an art, but we have a great fan and that is going to be on all night I think.
Wonderful hay being made and this morning I saw a kite grabbing his breakfast behind the tractor mowing the meadow.
