Over 50's Wales Club

Oh Jac, what a worry. No more of that oil methinks.

Went shopping today and it truly is a different world up here. Our road out of the valley is good, but so narrow, in places the drifts are higher than the hedges. Good to go, but a bit of a panic when you meet another vehicle!

Lumps are quite small now but I’m keeping an eye on them xxx
Fab sunshine here with lovely waves . Cold out the back though
The only slot I could get for Tesco was between 2 and 3 pm and our gate closes at 10 am but luckily the handiman is working here and he is leaving the gate open for me

Had a nasty shock this morning when I drew the curtains in the bedroom - another blizzard! However it had stopped by 9 am and I decided to go to U3A. Super lecture on the Black Mountain (the bit between Llandovery and Llanelli/Swansea) So glad I went as it was great. Supposed to be going to the Botanical Gardens of Wales tomorrow, but think I might give that a miss.

its a wet one here and very cold . I had to go to Chemist to pick up meds so called into Doc to ask her to look at my lumps . She didn’t have a clue what they were but as they are getting better advised to just keep an eye
Keep warm xxx

Raining and cold here, glad to be in for the rest of the day.
Had lovely news yesterday-going to be a great grandmother again in September.

So glad I didn’t go on the trip (!) Did loads of cooking for the lambing crew and it’s now chucking it down. Amazing to see the snowdrops - they’ve just emerged from the snow looking as good as ever. The crocuses on the lawn though are smashed into the ground. Such a shame as they were lovely las Monday!

Fingers crossed about the lumps Jac

Pleased to hear your news Rhosyn. Doesn’t it give you a lift?

Forgot to tell you that I was made a greatgrandmother again on Monday . Jody in Australia had one of the first same sex marriages when the law was passed last year and then they had a donor and Elisha got pregnant first time. She has been quite ill with Liver problems so she was induced and both her and baby Tanner went home yesterday . A different world to what we knew but as long as they are happy xxx

Great news Jac, how many Greats is that?

Went to play bowls this morning, but no silverware to bring home today :frowning:
Came home and fell asleep in front of France v England. When I woke up France were in the lead and went on to win!! There’ll be some long faces on folks I know.

Dry so far today.
Son no 1 coming this afternoon,he’s going to cook for me-after the match(rugby comes first!).
Had a lovely bouquet and card via Moonpig from son no2 yesterday.Grandchildren gave me flowers on Friday. They know I love flowers.
Miss my Mam every day.

Good on France yesterday.
Pob lwc Cymru.
Good luck Wales.

Tanner is no4 greatgrandchild . It was lovely yesterday because Jody came on live on Messenger and I could watch him sleeping and making faces . She is going to do it once a week so I can see him grow.
Grey and chilly here, kids will be arriving soon I suppose ,not sure who is working so may just be Karen

Sue have you been watching Four In A Bed ? One of the B&B’s is in Paincastle .Think that’s near you ?

No, haven’t been watching it lately. Is this the one from the Rhydspence Inn down on the main road, it was on a few weeks ago.?

Off to a quiz in the Baskerville Arms in Clyro tonight. Hope it will be for the Air Ambulance. We had one booked for the 1st March but needless to say that was cancelled.

Fabulous show last night,he did well and got the audience singing along to some Elvis songs. The theatre was full, some old fans and quite a few youngsters. My children and grandchildren were brought up with my Elvis songs!
Going to pick middle grandson from Swansea this afternoon,he’s staying for a couple of nights.
