Took Rob out to lunch at Morrisons in Leominster and managed to avoid the 999 tractors hauling spuds from one end of the county to the other. Just got home in time, it’s now raining.
Sunny morning. Granddaughter and g.granddaughter taking me out for a birthday lunch later.Another year has flown by!

Took the car for MOT and had a pub-lunch with a friend while I waited . All went well

Went to U3A this morning - fantastic lecture on Richard III (the king who was dug up from a car park in Leicester) by a young lecturer from the Gene Parc in Cardiff. Trying to understand more about genetics, but it’s not coming easily!

Son no 2 sent me a bouquet,balloon and chocs via Interflora.
Don’t know why but I looked at the date on the box of chocs-best before 5/6/2017!! Phoned the shop as was told they’d send out a replacement box. My son is going to contact Interflora and play hell!!

Got a belated birthday lunch with the family today.My two sons all my grandchildren and g.granddaughter will be there.We don’t get a chance to be altogether very often so a special time today:-)

Foul day here - poured nearly all day. Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Village Hall this morning. This has been going for 10 years (!) and we usually raise around £1600/£1700. Very poignant this year as only a few weeks ago we lost a young Mum to breast cancer.
Finished the morning off by going up to the Golf Club for lunch - consequently I’m too full for tea just yet!
