So hot here today, been sitting out under the umbrella, about five o’clock, out of nowhere the rain come, it didn’t last ,not even enough to water the plants

Evening, I had a lazy day. It was too hot for me so I stayed inside and sorted out some drawers and 2 wardrobes. Then feet up with an audio book. Trip to the Charity Shop for me tomorrow.

Is it true tou get loads of midges up Scotland? Are they biting mad in this weather?
God Yes, they’re the scourge of the Highlands. I used to get them on evening walks in the forest with the dogs, had to use midge spray every day. If your unlucky enough to get caught in a swarm then heaven help you. You can get bitten badly and end up looking like you have measles or chicken pox.
A late good morning All,We had some thunder and rain earlier but it isn’t any cooler here so just a bit of tidying up and weeding,

I woke just about 2 am,lightning flashes nonstop, then thunder, like I’ve never heard before, I thought the house was coming down then torrential rain, it didn’t stop till after 7 am, it’s now calm but still humid…
@Rox … god those midge bites looked awful. It must be murder if they itch like mad.
Still humid here south of Hadrian’s Wall but supposed to be getting much pleasanter over the weekend.
I did venture out today but found myself sitting on handy benches to take a rest. now I’m an old biddy
Good morning All,sunny/cloudy/cooler here…May mow the front grass if it stays dry…Daughter & SIL sold Their campervan and bought a motorhome,so are coming to show it off with all its up to date gizmos…looks a right beaut on the pic’s…nothing else planned for the day…not doing any cooking so will just defrost a curry I made last week for dinner,and cold meat sandwich for lunch.

Morning May … it’s cooler here too. Much pleasanter with a refreshing breeze.
I might even start to fancy proper food again instead of just scoffing ice cream.
But here, in South Yorkshire, it is 25C…
I can manage 25 … 30 saps my energy. In Europe they’re touching 40, it must be murder.
Well Spain is 45C today. Unfortunately there will be fatalities in that heat…

…I know for a fact I haven’t shed any lbs…quite the opposite…instead of cooking healthy meals I’m grazing on sandwiches/biscuits/cereal & Magnum ice lollies

Wimbledon starts today so I’ll be watching a bit of that.

Morning, Weather’s a good bit cooler and quite a breeze too. Been to the pool, Tesco, and drank my latte while watching the waves crash.
Got 2 horses to groom after lunch, then I might get my feet up.
