For us it has been a day. First we had the hairdresser - she comes to us and usually a couple of friends. Then we had our son-in-law building some furniture for the greenhouse. That was an all day project. And now we are done.
Winds been really strong all day 50/60mph hate it
oceans been really rough too, I watched the Hamnavoe leaving for Stromness on Orkney earlier and Iām glad I wasnāt on board.
Apart from the pool first thing Iāve not done much at all, not been in the mood, too tired today, hope you all fared better.
Been a cold, wet, grey day here with slowly easing storm winds. Apart from the pool early on I stayed at home having a lazy day. ![]()
Dageus would have been 15 years old today if he was still here with me, Itās been 3 years since he passed and itās as raw as if it happened yesterday. ![]()
Hi Rox. Yes, I understand about Dageus. I miss Max, our Collie, and now we have our Springer Spaniel:
I still miss my little Jack Russell from over 30 years ago ⦠they always stay with you donāt they and thatās how it should be.
Went out today and boy it was gusty. I was tottering along and swaying in the wind like a drunk. ![]()
Got back and did some baking. Thatās done me ⦠Iām never hungry after standing cooking or baking.
Evening just waiting on the News at Six (Scotland) itās been a day of showers and oh so cold a wind, it was another at home day for me after the pool.
I donāt think Iāve seen a Jack Russell up here Morty, when I was in Perth a neighbour had one but it was a vicious little beast, she couldnāt walk it because it flew at everything it met. It ended up being put to sleep because of itās biting.
Yes, the wee Jack Russellā¦(
And that wind !! One of our greenhouse panes fell off but my neighbour had afew spare panes so we fixed it - hopefully for goodā¦
Theyāre lovely little dogs ⦠rather intelligent.
But, ⦠theyāre rat catchers and you do have to watch them.
Our little dog bit me on the face when I was about 10 or 11 but it was my fault.
Mum asked me if I wanted her put to sleep but I said no. Iād been teasing her and saw her ears going back and I stupidly carried on teasing her.
We were the best of friends, before and after.
And another dismal day here ⦠hopefully itās supposed to be picking up middle of next week. Fingers crossed!
The only wind damage here was a few wheelie bins blown over. I hate strong winds.
Good evening, got home this morning after a great holiday. It was lovely to see my nephew and his little boy, who is one smart cookie for his age. We had a few weekends away and went to the beach, but I usually sat in the shade. I was sad to see the news about the fire at Central Station, its such a shame that ithe shops were destroyed by the fire.
Hi Jess, Glad you had a good time and glad to see you back. Weatherās still crap and Iāve not been doing much, but heading to the garden centre tomorrow as I want some lavender plants. Iām clearing one of the side beds and putting in lavender, it spreads quite quickly so it shouldnāt take too long to all join up. The bees love it and I like the smell.
Yeah the Union Corner was quite a shock and is now being dismantled, the Railway Station is still closed too.
Good Morning Folks,ā¦Hiya Jessie itās good to see You again and glad You had a lovely time with Your Family,
Well looking out the window I see My Spring flowers are drookit especially the Daffodils, but buds appearing on flowering shrubs cheered Me up,ā¦Will the rain ever cease ![]()
Itās Mothers day againā¦has it really been a Year since the last one ![]()
Good morning, thanks for the welcome back. Rox we had rain over there even though it was really hot at times, I even bought a brolly. Some days I used to get the bus myself to the shops. I love the smell of Lavender. May all the spring flowers are out in the front garden here and so are the weeds. Case is unpacked and Iāll put them in the machine later.
Morning, Not too bad here at the moment but I think the rains not too far away. Just finishing my coffee and heading over to the garden centre for lavender, hopefully they have some. Managed to persuade Himself to come with me as I want a few bags of compost and bark chips, theyāre far to heavy for me to manage on my own, said Iād treat him to a bar lunch ![]()
Have a good day.
Good morning Each,it was bright and sunny earlier so took a walk to the Co-op for rolls and square sausages which Iāve just eaten with a sliced onion
ā¦Took Me a bit longer than usual to walk there,so got the bus back just in time to miss a heavy shower of rain.
Hope All are wellā¦see Ye Aā later,xx
Hi and good morning all. So itās cloudy Monday but no rain. This after noon I have a couple of appointments at the hospital this afternoon, one of them for my hearing. And thatās it.

Definitely a female thing !
Good evening. Had a Dentist appointment today thankfully all is well. Really cold here today and showers did some food shopping and came home. Iāve also been sorting out clothes for the charity shop.
A stay at home day today ā¦
I had my first Telephone Hospital appointment ⦠timed at 14.50 , it said on the letter.
The hospital would aim to call me within 1 hour it said.
14.50 Iām sitting in a quiet room with my mobile.
14.51 ⦠the phone rang.
14.53⦠my appointment was over.
Much quicker than going to a face to face appointment.
Yes - I agree with those appoints.
