Sounds like You had a lovely day Abbey, good for You putting the decsā€™ up so soon, think Iā€™ll wait 'til Iā€™m more like Myself first.

I know the spiel if I go to the Docā€™sā€¦Make an appā€™ at Hospā€™ for x ray to confirm itā€™s arthritis,(as if I didnā€™t know) Theyā€™ll recommend another knee replacementā€¦Iā€™ll tell Them to shove it.:surprised:ā€¦then Iā€™ll be offered stronger pain killers like Tramadolā€¦which turns Me into a nut-job (well a bigger one than I am already)ā€¦hey ho. exciting aint it?..In the meantime I can bend the knee a little bit nowā€¦so never say dieā€¦if it runs true to form Iā€™ll be out n about by the weekendā€¦have a great Evening Allā€¦Iā€™m off for an early night,x

Itā€™s all gone very quiet on here today. Ok, who said what ?? I hope the knee continues to improve May, and you can get out this weekend. Iā€™ve been working on the vehicle outside today. Itā€™s ā€¦erā€¦ cool and refreshing to say the least!! Mostly grey with no hint of sun. :frowning: Letā€™s hope the weekendā€™s better. The bothy beckonsā€¦

Andrewā€™s Day under the Southern Cross)

GOD bless our land, our Scotland,
Grey glen anā€™ misty brae,
The blue heights oā€™ the Coolins,
The green haughs yont the Spey,
The weary wastes on Solway,
Snell winds blaw owre them aā€™ ā€”
But aye itā€™s Hame, lad,
Yours anā€™ mine, lad,
Shielinā€™ or haā€™.

It's Hame, it's Hame for ever,
         Let good or ill betide!
The croon o' some dear river,
         The blink o' ae braeside.

God bless our land; itā€™s yonder ā€“
Far in the cold North Sea:
But ā€˜neath the old Saintā€™s glamour
Itā€™s calling you anā€™ me:

It's Hame, it's Hame for ever,
         Let shore or sea divide!
The croon o' some dear river,
         The blink o' ae braeside.

God bless our land. We dream oā€™t ā€”
The days aye brakinā€™ fine
On the lang, lane glints oā€™ heather
In the glens we kent langsyne.

Ay, we are Reubens, rovers,
ā€˜Neath mony an alien star,
But flaunt the blue flag oā€™er us,
Pipe up the " Braes oā€™ Mar,"
And steppe and nullah vanish,
And pomp and pelf and fame ā€”
Itā€™s gloaminā€™ ā€” on a lown hillside,
Anā€™ lads, . . . Weā€™re . . . Hame.

Happy St Andrews Day to All on the Scottish Forum, xxx

Good Morning Folks. A bit grey here (again) but a hint of it brightening up. A few odd jobs to do and general pottering today. Having to wait in for delivery. Just watched the 2nd episode of ā€œThe Last Minerā€ on BBC iplayer. A sad and moving programme. Closure of the very last pit in the UK. Something we will come to regret for sure ! :frowning: Even if you are not ā€œintoā€ mining or underground stuff, itā€™s well worth seeing.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Mike.

Thanks Myrtle. May never heard of that poem before. Mike hope you donā€™t have to wait to long for the delivery. I watched a bit of that programme it is sad all those men losing their jobs.

Enjoy your day folks, especially as its a bank holiday now.
