Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Morning, Had a lot of trouble sleeping last night with the heat despite having the fan blowing over the bed. I envy himself he always sleeps like the dead…huff. :075:
Well it’s Freedumb day over the boarder, personally I think we will be back in full lockdown by September, did you see the early News and countdown in a London Club? Packed in like sardines doesn’t begin to cover it… Sheeezze Idiots they think they’re all safe and life is now back to normal. HAH, NOT.

Good morning ladies. Did a bit of tidying up yesterday in the back garden and will get out and do a bit more later. Haven’t seen any news yet. I’ll still be watching what I’m doing, as we will still have them all coming down here for the day.

Good Morning good People, another sunny one here which will get hotter as the day goes on…The heat doesn’t bother Me re’ sleeping as My house seems to stay quite cool as long as doors & windows are kept closed,

As for changing My routines…nae chance…I’ve been persuaded to go gallivanting around the Country, but I’m not taking any chances yet…so it’ll be the same routine as it’s been over the last Months,mask/distance/stay away from crowds…It’ll be survival of the cautious so good luck to Them celebrating Their ‘freedom’…They’ll need all the luck They can get

Evening all what a glorious weekend weather wise. My Son had a nice Birthday at my Daughter’s. Low key 6 adults and the children. They had their pool out. I wish I could have jumped in!
Yesterday went to Luss. Got a quiet spot on the shore and had a picnic.
Weeding and the dump this morning. Then washed down garage front door. It was bogging!
Then a wee seat out in the sun this afternoon.
Going a walk now. Enjoy thes rest of your day.

Bonnie glad all went well with the party for your son. You should have got in the pool with the grandchildren. Did a bit if tidying up in the back garden, then some lunch, and sat outside for a while.

Morning, Shaping up for another hot day but the dogs been walked and I’ve watered the garden. Heading off shortly to the pool and no plans for this afternoon. It will depend on how hot it gets as to me being inside or out.
Was faced with this as soon as I switched on the computer, and folk wonder why I hate the Tories.

Good Morning Folks,it’s getting hotter every day,so blinds/curtains kept closed to keep the house cool,…I too watered the garden first thing this morning, and it’s so lovely to see the flowers blooming all over the garden especially the climbing roses which have run rampant  they haven’t had so much sun for years,

Aye I saw that earlier Rox,it’s what We’ve come to expect of Johnson and His cabal,He won’t last much longer once it ALL comes out.

Good morning ladies. His trusted advisor is really dishing the dirt. Another sunny one here this morning. Been taking it easy in the sun just sitting out for a while then back indoors. Will get another bit of tidying up done in the back garden later.

Morning all. Doing my ironing in the garden. Using the big extension from the lawn mower. Have cut down the amount I iron but seems I have been lazy recently so more than usual to do today. Need to press on, no pun intended!
Have a nice day everyone.

Bonnie caught up on my ironing the other day. Have another lot to get done, will do it later. Going to the shops for a few bits and pieces.

Jess it is a never ending task.
Trying to have a wee read in garden in the shade as can only last 5 or 10 mins in that heat. However the police helicopter has been circling overhead for the past couple of hours. Live near the River Calder think that’s where they are searching.

Not so good Bonnie, We get the yellow rescue chopper here a lot, as tourists will get their silly selves trapped in the sea caves. They never learn to check the bloody tides. :102:
I almost got trapped myself a few years back, the tide was finally down low enough for me to get round to a big cave I’d been wanting to explore. I thought I had enough time, WRONG… The tide came in very very fast and the dog and I had to run for it. The waves were round my knees in seconds and if I hadn’t had a hold of Dageus’s collar he’d have been swept away. :100: I was shaking by the time we got back round to the sands. Never again. :101: :101:

Wow Roxy that sounds really frightening.
The river near me is not at all deep but it is surrounded by a lot of woodland. In fact that where I go walking a lot but never on my own. If the police are chasing someone that’s where they run for cover. But It is normally quite quiet round here making it sound like the Wild West !

It was scary Bonnie, I took this off Google Earth, you see the wee path of sand leading to the cave at the furthest left. I’d never seen the tide out far enough from that curve of rock that cuts the cave off, then one morning it was, so me n the dog slipped round to the cave. Tide was several yards away so I thought I have just enough time to have a quick look and maybe a couple of photos. WRONG, the tide had already been coming back in and was cutting us off in seconds. I never told my partner about that morning as he’s go nuts at me and I’d deserve it too, we could have been killed.
The photo of Dageus is the safe side of the rocks, the cave is just the other side of them, it’s usually like this even at low tide cutting off the way to the cave. So near and yet so far away.

Bonnie I tried to sit out in the garden, but it was to hot. I even wore a hat going to the shops, still quite warm here at the moment. Roxy that must have been a scary experience for you, glad you managed to get out safely from the cave.

Amazing escape Roxy but as you say you have learned a lesson !
Jess 5 minutes is my stretch then into the shade !

I am just glad we did get back in one piece Jess, I must have been having a brainless day. I will never try to reach it again, ever. Even if the tide is low enough. I have a video of those waves from that bit, will see if I can find it. I also found a video on YouTube of a couple being rescued by the coastguards, they got trapped down in that cave. I will look them out and post them tomorrow, I can’t do it from the tablet, I need to be on the computer.

Bonnie its still quite warm out there, just watered the garden. Roxy looking forward to seeing the pictures tomorrow.

Morning All, Grey Day here so far, and I’m happy about that as I can get outside again and get on with some weeding and grass cutting. Raked out those videos and they will let you see what I was talking about. First one is the safe side of the rocks, I was just standing there answering a text from my daughter and next thing thing the waves were rushing at me. AND this was a quiet day. :107:
The rescue one I found on Youtube but it’s not one of mine, It’s a bit hazy, but again you get the feel of things, this was right above the cave.

Hi Roxy that is scary I wouldn’t be going anywhere near it. I have to admire these pilots risking their lives rescuing people. Another hot one here been to the shops and had lunch. Now to do some housework.
