Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good evening ladies. Tidied up the front garden today and fed the plants. Going out later to water the plants back and front, then go for a walk.

Morning Girls, Am feeling a bit disgusted, we were promised a lovely hot sunny day and it’s not arrived. Instead it’s cool and cloudy
sigh.
Not long back from the pool and after lunch it’s the garden and weeding for me
More Sighs.

Afternoon all. It is a lovely day here, Roxy. Yesterday was quite nice too. Went to Callander. Enjoyed it but was very busy. Hope you get the sunshine soon Roxy.
Have a good day every body. I am settling down to watch Wimbledon. Love the tennis

Afternoon All
hot hot hot here
had to come in from the garden to find a sunhat
long may the sun shine

Good afternoon May, hope you are well? I’m having problems understanding your weather – hot, hot, hot there? How can it be like that, it’s Scotland and more to the point it’s tipping with rain ‘down south’! :frowning:

Can we have our usual weather back please.

Heh heh,I’m ticketyboo Baz,hope You’re the same
It’s 22* here and that’s hot enough for Me
sorry Your weather’s so bad though
:-p

Good to hear May, I’m good too. Goodness knows what the temperature here is though? Just had a look and it’s 19ÂșC in the house and 14ÂșC in the car parked on the drive. It’s definitely not very warm and tipping it down! The weather seems to have swapped ends of the UK doesn’t it! Never mind, summer will soon be here. Oh, it’s arrived already did I hear you say? :100:

Well if it’s any consolation Kiddo,it’s started to cloud over here now
bugger!..Who mentioned the weather!!!

Perhaps it’s back to the usual weather for Scotland? Any flooding or snow warnings?

EEK!..wash Yer mouth out Laddie

OK, no sign of rain until Sunday though and tomorrow it’s forecast to be 23ÂșC – enjoy!

Good evening everybody. Hi Baz, good to see you posting. Really warm here today and they stopped the ferry waiting time for cars one hour passengers about the same. Been out in the garden today tidying it up, will water the plants later.

Great to see Murray back at Wimbledon and what a fab’ match it was,nerve-racking,well done big Man :038:

Morning All, Sitting outside the Leisure Centre waiting for a pal who’s decided to join me for a swim this morning. Then it’s shopping for me and a late-ish walk for the dog. Looks like it may brighten up so I can get into the garden after lunch. May I saw on the News of Andy Murray’s win, just what he needed to set him up on his return, but I’m not into watching sport of any kind.
Have a nice day everyone.

Morning all, what a beautiful morning it is, must buy some different weedkiller, this one I’m using seems to be feeding the weeds instead of killing them

Good morning everybody. Didn’t watch the tennis yesterday, but glad that Murray won his match. Sun is shining and I’m off to the hairdressers shortly. A bit of gardening and then sit in the sun for a wee while.

Good morning each, and it’s gonna be a scorcher here in Lanarkshire later,so I’ll be going into hiding in the Afternoon

Had a set of telescopic loppers delivered from Argos first thing this morning,so I’ve been busy lopping branches from the trees, and getting rid of a couple of large shrubs which were dying,so that’s My lot for the day
out to the lounger with a cuppa and a couple of well earned choccie biscuits
have a good one Folks and remember the suncream.x

Paula, I stopped buying weed killer years ago as it was useless and far too expensive, I now make my own and it works.
2 bottles white vinegar.
Pack of Table Salt.
Washing up liquid.
Plastic Funnel.
Large plastic bottle.

Get an empty bottle that had diluting juice in it, rinse it out and make a hole in the screw cap.
I buy 2 bottles of WHITE vinegar, pour 1 into your juice bottle, add 4 tablespoons of table salt. pour the other bottle of vinegar in and add a large-ish squeeze of washing up liquid. Screw top back on and up end the bottle a couple of times to mix it all together. Then squirt the weeds and by the next day most of them will be almost dead. Any stubborn ones may need another squirt. But I can assure you IT WILL WORK.

Thanks Roxy, that’s a good tip I will certainly try it
I know this weedkiller’s rubbish

Good morning ladies, somebody’s stole the sun. Didn’t sit outside yesterday till late afternoon, it was to warm. Finished reading a book I started a few months ago. Nails this morning then a bit of housework for me today.
