Morning, Nice here first thing but clouded over since. Finally got my new turf down, and a sore back for my trouble. So it’s an easy day till it stops hurting. This getting older is not fun.
Have a nice day people.
Getting a new solid table and benches for out the back, these should actually last…I hope. Sick of the ones I had in the past falling to bits What do you think?
They certainly look solid and stable Rox,a hurricane won’t move them methinks
Good evening all. Roxy the table and benches look super, very substantial. It has been lovely here, sun & heat. It’s clouding over now but that’s good as it means we don’t need to water the garden or pots. I was in the garden for a few hours. The amount of time I spend in it you would expect it to look great. Unfortunately I’m making up for neglecting it for so long. It does look a whole lot better but will never be a show garden. I’m just trying to keep up with it. Getting out in the fresh air certainly helps me feel optimistic. Have a good evening & take care.
Good morning Lassies, sunny, cloudy, cool here…not doing much except a wee bit of careful weeding… :-p…Hope Your back is better Rox,
Found this Poem,
And the People Stayed Home – Poem by Kitty O’Meara
And the people stayed home.
And read books and listened, and rested and exercised,
and made art and played games,
and learned new ways of being and were still.
And listened more deeply.
Some meditated, some prayed, some danced.
Some met their shadows.
And the people began to think differently.
And the people healed.
And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again,
they grieved their losses, and made new choices,
and dreamed new images,
and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully,
as they had been healed.
Hope You like it as much as I.
Good afternoon. Lovely poem May. It would be great if that was the outcome to our current situation, and I hope it is. Community spirit and thinking of others has been apparent in the last 4 months, but not everywhere. We can only hope. It was sunny & warm, until I got the fence paint out. A shower sent me indoors and I haven’t ventured out again. The rain didn’t last long but the clouds are around and I didn’t need too much encouragement to give up. Tomorrow is another day. Hope you are both well & that Jess is enjoying her break. It will be good to hear her experience when she gets back. Have a good day & stay safe.
Afternoon, Not too bad here was sunny but clouding over now, still dry so can’t moan. Backs still sore but easing up a wee bit, sat with a hot water bottle on it for a few hours yesterday and will do the same tonight. If the pool was open I’d go and plonk myself in the jacuzzi with a hot jet walloping into the small of my back, that always sorts my aches and pains out.
Good Morning Folks, weather not worth mentioning really, but it’s dry at the moment,
Washing on the line then some more never ending weeding in the garden…
Life’s becoming more boring each day…not looking forward to Winter as I don’t think anything will change as far as this virus goes…ok…I’ll get on My bike and hope some exercise will lighten My mood…
Have a good one Lassies xx
Morning, Dry but windy here here again. Was almost blown to bits down by the water earlier. Was standing watching the “Hamnavoe”, ferry to the Isles getting heaved around by the ocean as she passed.
Garden for me too this morning, one lawn to cut if it’s dry enough and a fight with some brambles. Bloody things just won’t die off, no matter what I do. Gggrrrr.
Groaaaaan. It’s a day I should have stayed in bed.
Good Morning Each,it’s raining…wharra surprise…I know how You feel Rox…don’t know what I’ll get up to today…may got for a walk in the rain…have a good one Folks and stay safe.xx
Morning, Filthy day here now BUT, I was up and out with the dog early enough to get most of our walk done before the rain arrived. Lazy day with my book or jigsaw for me after I do a quick zip round to tidy up.
Saw this and almost choked on my coffee…

OMG…That’s SO funny ![]()

I know you get a lot of rain in Scotland so isn’t it difficult
going out for a walk wearing those flippers?
![]()
Good morning May and to all up there in Scotland.

Just caught your post May, hope you are keeping well. ![]()
Hiya Baz,I’m doing ok thanks…well…stuff is just getting Me down a bit atm…but…Health’s fine…nice to see You again and hope You’re ok too?
Good that you are doing OK. ‘Stuff’ gets me down too, some days worse than others so you are not alone, there are I am sure thousands also feeling like that. Mostly I am OK though thanks, at times I just have to try and think differently. ![]()
Mind how you go with those flippers and all that rain up there!

Heh heh,decided against the walk…think I’d need waders ![]()
Afternoon Each, well it’s still piddling doon oot there,so I moved the stove & plant holders out of the SH,and managed to pull/push My recumbent exercise bike down the garden path into it…jeeze!..I’d forgotten how heavy it was…but it’s kinda nice to peddle away with the doors open out there with a view of shrubs, trees, flowers, instead of the TV
Pouring here too, giving the new turf a good soaking in. Been very slow today even went for a sleep after lunch. More of the same tomorrow I believe.
Good afternoon all. Yep, same here, pouring down, a bit windy, & quite ‘cool’. Was out for a little while but couldn’t really be bothered dodging the rain. May, your idea of the exercise bike in the SH sounds good. You can imagine cycling down country lanes. The next 3 days forecast shows the temperature increasing & ‘partly sunny’ in my area so I will look forward to that. But…isn’t everything looking very green & healthy! Take care.
