Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good morning ladies. Sun is out here at the moment, so the washing is out. Going for a walk to the co op for bread and hope they have some rolls. Had cereal but fancy a bacon roll. Will get out in the back garden later and do some weeding.

Morning, Don’t know what the weather’s going to do today, it’s been raining all night, drying up now but lots of dark cloud about.
Was going to start the lawns again but will see how it pans out. Even if I can do a bit today and finish it up tomorrow. Apart from that I’ve nothing else on.

Good morning ladies. Sun is trying to come out here at the moment. Have washing to hang out and then I don’t know what else to get up to. Starting to get bored but I know I have to stay home for my own good.

Afternoon All,a bit cloudy & chilly here but sun trying its best to shine,

Have been walking most mornings as the weather has been fine & dry so getting a bit more fitter every day after binging for weeks on biscuits & rubbish
.It’s become routine for My Son to pay a half hour visit during the week to sit in the garden for a blether,& Daughter /SIL to do the same at weekends,She’s got over being upset at not being able to hug so it’s become the ‘new norm’,
Hope You’re all well & keep safe for a wee while longer

I’m normally a social girl

I love to meet my mates

But lately with the virus here

We can’t go out the gates.

You see, we are the ‘oldies’ now

We need to stay inside

If they haven’t seen us for a while

They’ll think we’ve upped and died.

They’ll never know the things we did

Before we got this old

There wasn’t any Facebook

So not everything was told.

We may seem sweet old ladies

Who would never be uncouth

But we grew up in the 60s –

If you only knew the truth!

There was sex and drugs and rock ‘n roll

The pill and miniskirts

We smoked, we drank, we partied

And were quite outrageous flirts.

Then we settled down, got married

And turned into someone’s mum,

Somebody’s wife, then nana,

Who on earth did we become?

We didn’t mind the change of pace

Because our lives were full

But to bury us before we’re dead

Is like red rag to a bull!

So here you find me stuck inside

For 4 weeks, maybe more

I finally found myself again

Then I had to close the door!

It didn’t really bother me

I’d while away the hour

I’d bake for all the family

But I’ve got no bloody flour!

Now Netflix is just wonderful

I like a gutsy thriller

I’m swooning over Idris

Or some random sexy killer.

At least I’ve got a stash of booze

For when I’m being idle

There’s wine and whiskey, even gin

If I’m feeling suicidal!

So let’s all drink to lockdown

To recovery and health

And hope this bloody virus

Doesn’t decimate our wealth.

We’ll all get through the crisis

And be back to join our mates

Just hoping I’m not far too wide

To fit through the flaming gates!

funny eh :-p

Hi May – that’s a good one and gave me a laugh in these so, so serious times!

Well posted, thanks! :023:

Good one May.

Good morning ladies. Sun is out here and its going to be warm. A bit of housework and then a walk to the shops for a few things.

Good Morning all You lovely People,;-)
a bit sunny but quite chilly here, perfect for My longer yomp first thing this morn
took the walk I used to do when I had My dog and only saw one or 2 Folks walking Their dogs
a bit oot o’ puff as this is the first time I’ve worn a bra’ for weeks so thought I was being strangled when walking uphill
first thing I did when I got Home was take it off

Have a good one Folks,xx

Afternoon, Nice out today so after walking the dog I got stuck into the garden AGAIN. :019: Had enough though, so it’s now feet up for an hour before I start dinner. Want to get some bedding plants soon but all the big centres are down in Inverness and I’m not sure how I’d explain it if the police decided to spot check me. :107: They would tell me it wasn’t an essential journey, but I’d disagree as as it’s essential to me. :081: :081:

Cleaned the kitchen and now going go outside and read my book. May I’ve been for my walk and some people just wont move aside for you. I just cross the street to avoid them.

Oh my. :103: Look what’s headed my way at the W/E.

Good Evening All,turned out to be a warmish one here but I dread to think what will happen at the weekend when the temp’ is set to rise, especially down South when it’s to be in the mid 20s
Folks are bound to break the rules and head for the holiday hotspots,so I’d suggest You do as I do Jessie and have Your walk early in the morning before Your Town gets busy
My lot are champing at the bit to get into Their campervans and head to the Highlands for a bit o’ fishing and hillwalking, but They know They can’t so will just have to be a bit more patient for a while longer,

I also don’t have to visit any shops as I have a regular weekly slot with Iceland if needed, and I’ve discovered they deliver almost everything from water to wine :-p woohoo
next order I may take Them up on that

I’m happy to continue with the ‘new normal’ as long as I can get out walking for up to an hour every day,and I really don’t see Me ever travelling on local transport or going to busy supermarkets for a very long time to come,

Stay safe Folks and do as the FM suggests xx

Oh Gawd Roxy
SLEET!!!..That’ll keep You all indoors  :-p

Morning, A beautiful day here today. It’s just the sort of day I like to bung the dog in the car and grab a flask then take off along the top coast road to one of the wee tiny coves/bays along there. Mostly I land up at Strathy, though it’s only one of many
But I can’t, sigh. :018:

Good morning ladies. Sun is out again here. May its been really quiet here since Easter when they all decide to come here for the day. No where is open for them, except one chip shop and they don’t they don’t have a plastic shield and no protection for the staff. Roxy your photo looks like a painting. Washing is on so I’ll head out for a walk later and then read my book.

Good morning Each,a bit chilly here after the fab’ sunny warm day yesterday
Off for My walk after breakfast to visit the Family in the local cemetery, there have been no new Fam’ graves there thank goodness and it’s 21 yrs since the last funeral which was My Sis’ 21 yrs ago.
Have a good day Folks and stay safe.xx

Morning, Bright n sunny here today but the nippy wind has returned. The dog and I had a very bracing walk on the beach earlier, I was almost blue when we got back to the car.
Have a nice day ladies.

Good morning ladies. A lot cooler here as well today. May its been ten years since my brother died. RoxyI’ll be wearing the woolies again when I go for my walk later.

Good evening ladies. Not so warm here today so it was some housework and then a walk. I just hope its not going to be busy here this weekend.
