OOPS!..a third Ruth Davidson has appeared. …A person called Ruth Davidson recently said that a referendum on Scottish independence should only happen if the SNP wins an “outright majority” at the next Holyrood elections.
Prior to this another person called Ruth Davidson said that the next UK prime minister should continue to refuse a referendum on Scottish independence whatever the circumstances.
In July 2016 another person, also called Ruth Davidson, commented it would “not be wise” for the next prime minister to block a request for a second independence referendum.
I don’t know what to think about Ruth, at times I wish she was with the SNP, but she’s a Tory and talks the same garbage as them in Westmonster. AND, since when did the Leader of the Opposition get to make the rules and say what the First Minister can and can’t do. Cheeky blooming Mare.
Good Morning Each, and what a stinker it is,My poor Rosebushes and flowers are all looking very bedraggled, but the weeds are shooting up good style
I’ve given up listening/watching/reading about the shenanigans going on down in Westmonster, the line-up is like a horror show and it looks like They’d all gladly sell Their soul for the top job…sickening to watch
Morning May, I have no intention of watching the clowns in the debate programmes either on the Telly or the Radio. They are all bloody Tories, unelected by Scotland and not wanted here.
Weather’s cloudy and very muggy here this morning, right headache weather. Heading off with the dog soon, wanted to finish up inside first. Heading over to Dunnet to see how the Puffins are doing.
Good afternoon one and all. Newbie here and was directed to this forum as I’m living in Scotland (although I’m an immigrant from England :-o ) perusing these threads whilst waiting for it to be dry enough to cut the grass!! Think walking the dogs is more likely to happen first though.
Hello there Tracy, and welcome to the OFF…I hope You enjoy Our Company and stay around for a good long while. …(whisper)…You can let Your hair down on this thread and tell all Your wee secrets cos hardly Anyone looks in here…except Us Auld die-hards :-p
The sun came out a couple of hours ago so got the grass cut & some weeding. done…weyhey
It’s dry …ish here but rained so much this past week that fear the mower may get bogged down if I attempt anything just yet. The sea view may be stunning but it does have its downside. Maybe another coffee will do the trick (sniggers as she picks up her book for the third time today). Thanks for the welcome.
Hi Tracy, Nice to see another Member here, Jess is away on Holiday the now, and often we get a look in from Sweetie and Longdogs, The other Scots do post but not that often, they prefer to be in the cut and thrust of the other Sections.
Morning All, Not too bad a day here, Early walk up the Beach for me and the dog today, we’re heading over to Orkney to visit with some friends so I need to be on time for the Scrabster Ferry. Himself’s belting round getting some jobs done before breakfast. We’ll be back this evening, catch ya later…
Good morning Each, another day of sun and heavy showers,…forecast says a threat of thunder & hail…jeeze!..…Daughter & Sil coming to take Me out to lunch then hopefully a walk around Strathclyde Loch…have a good Sunday Folks wherever You are.xx
A beautiful sunset last night followed by the start of a reasonable looking morning this morning. Maybe the grass will get cut today … maybe! I should really put together the set of outside furniture which had been sitting in my garage for a month but that would only prompt the weather into a swift change into rain. Have a magic day, whatever you are all doing.
Good Morning Each.I’m not going to mention the bleedin’ weather
Good pic’s Roxy, glad You enjoyed the ferry trip…I’ve always loved the ferry from Dover to Calais when visiting eldest Daughter & Family, also been a few times on the Cairnryan to Belfast trip, think the last time I was on one was from Oban to Mull…happy days…have a good Monday all.xx
Morning All, Showers here today so not doing a wash. The Ferry’s here are NorthLink, the one with the Viking on the side, ours is called “Hamnovae” she’s a lovely ship, see pic.
Only other Ferry’s I’ve have been on are CalMac from Oban, when I go home to Mull for a visit.
Not much planned for today just catching up on housework and probably an hour over in the Stable.
Have a good day. :cool2:
Heavens opened up and just got drenched leaving my stained glass class - knew I should have taken a jacket with me!! Nice forecast of heavy rain and thunder for here over the next day or so - oh joy. Gorgeous pics Roxy! Mosaics class for me tomorrow night so more opportunity to get a soaking. Keeps me out if trouble though
Evenin’ All,…been out gallivanting around Town, rain stayed away but was almost blown off My feet…had to buy a tube of silicone stuff and a gun to seal a wee leak in one of the summer house windows…sheesh!..I got it all over the joint…I aint a very good shot it seems!..won’t know if it works until the rain starts again.
At least you just got a leak May, Several weeks ago I managed to break a bottom pain of glass in mine, I clipped it with the bar on the front of the lawn mower. Himself was none to chuffed as he had to drive the 20 miles into Wick, to a Glazier to get new ones cut. He came back with 3, that’s I case I manage to do it again, he never said so… BUT.
Good morning Each,it’s a fine sunny windy one here so have the washing out on the line, fingers crossed the rain stays away,
I think that leaking windae in the SH needs the frame replaced but I haven’t a clue how to go about it,so I’ll just have to be careful not to open it in case it breaks!..I have a couple of extra panes from when the wind blew the door open before and broke one,so I only have Myself to blame,
